"The Verdict: Dumbo is a Paris import whose crisp-edged burgers don’t warrant the frenzy. Stroll past Dumbo at 6pm and you’ll have to dodge gaggles of Asahi-drinkers to get to the zebra crossing on Bethnal Green Road. But despite the crowd permanently gathered outside, the smashburgers are just fine, if a little dry, and the potato-roll-meets-brioche-bun doesn’t hold up well. The crunchy, peppery nuggets and perfect fries are actually our favourite thing here. And standing with a crowd of people who make jorts look good, plus one confused dad with his son, is the most fun we’ve had queuing in London." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley
