"Tucked into a sleepy stretch of California Ave is Prost!—a Bavarian-style bar that’s remarkably subdued despite the exclamation. It may not be the spot to have a rager, but it’s easy to wile away an hour or two while sipping some of their malty European drafts, particularly during Oktoberfest. If the weather’s nice, grab a bretzel (nicely toasted and buttery on the outside with a pillowy soft middle) and grab a seat on the back patio. Or just watch whatever game is playing and pretend you’re at a pub in Leavenworth, except without all the annoying tourists." - Gabe Guarente
