"Open since 1979, Los Alpes in Huntington Park is a neighborhood institution that serves paletas, fruit bars, milk shakes, ice cream, and the one, the only: mangoneada. It almost looks like a science fair project: huge scoops of mango sorbet are covered in chamoy, lemon, and red-hot chile salt, which runs down the sides like lava on a paper-mache volcano.
