Nobu - Review - Palo Alto - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"For beautifully plated sushi and ambiance fit for an A-list photo op, Nobu is it. The Bay Area’s only location of this luxury restaurant and hotel, co-founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro, combines Japanese and Peruvian influences. The signature black cod with miso is buttery and umami, the bigeye and bluefin toro tartare melts upon first contact with your mouth, and the rock shrimp tempura is sweet and tender under a crisp coating. Portions are decidedly small–sometimes only a few bites per dish–but the Happy Hour menu—known as Tanoshi—has better value for the price, with a variety of small plates for under $20, and beverages ranging from $6-12 (the ice-cold lychee martini is our go-to)." - Gabi Moskowitz
