"Most people probably know of The Highball as “that bar attached to the Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar,” but we think that they deserve some credit for doing a lot of things well. There’s a long bar where you can order all the same food and drinks you can get in the theater—no ticket required. Then there’s the large stage inside that hosts nightly events, including live music, trivia, and drag shows. Finally, there’s the seven different karaoke rooms—each with a different theme and capacity—where you and up to 21 friends can belt out whatever seems appropriate in a satanic altar-themed room." - Nicolai McCrary
