"If there’s a better sushi Happy Hour in SF than Bubu, we have yet to find it. This Lower Pacific Heights spot serves drinks, sashimi, handrolls, and karaage for $5 apiece daily. That means you (and all the other temaki enthusiasts who flock here) can fill up for less than it costs to take a single yoga class nearby. Among the 20-plus options on the menu, prioritize the salty-sweet “bubus”—crispy rice with tuna, hamachi, or salmon and a drizzle of spicy mayo. Just know tables fill up, so it’s best to get here right when they open.
