High Noon Brunchery - Review - Douglasville - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Forget Wednesdays, High Noon Brunchery in Douglasville wears pink every day—on the walls, the seats, and even the chandeliers above the pink bar. Billed as Georgia’s first all-pink café (take that as you will), it’s a good brunch spot to flaunt the metro’s frilly side to out-of-towners, take your Telfar bag-carrying aunties, or host a brunch party for your pink-obsessed teen who can order a sugary mocktail from a cotton candy pink menu. The waffles and french toast are fine, the wings are crispy, and the cocktails are fruity. With an upbeat R&B soundtrack and plenty of photo ops, this is a fun, cutesy brunch spot for the whole crew. photo credit: Courtesy of High Noon Brunchery Food Rundown Chicken Wings The fried whole wings are a solid choice. They’re crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and served on a bed of raw leafy greens that we suppose you could scoop into a salad of sorts if you asked for a side of dressing. photo credit: Jacinta Howard Waffles The waffles are just OK, managing to avoid being too floppy but not quite reaching that perfect crispy texture. They'll do the job if you're craving something sweet, but they’re not the standout here. photo credit: Jacinta Howard Catfish Sandwich The catfish is fried nicely, but it’s lacking in seasoning, which leaves the flavor a bit flat. Fortunately, there's a side of creamy tartar sauce, which should be applied liberally. Plus, it comes stacked with lettuce, cheese, and three bread slices, which make it tall, overly bready, and tough to bite. Mocktail This strawberry-pink mocktail comes with a sugar rim so thick you might need a chisel to get through it.
