"Even at 6pm, it feels like midnight in Hisae’s. The East Village bar and restaurant stays packed with college students who come here to consume $3 shots while a stereo plays Post Malone and a bartender in the back burns through bottles of screw-cap whiskey. Unlike most spots, this place has a one-hour time limit, so be sure to place your order as you soon as you get to a wobbly table sandwiched between groups of communications majors. Cocktails—served in tall plastic cups—start at $6, and the plentiful drinking snacks cost roughly the same. Get some chicken fingers or crunchy popcorn shrimp to go with your vodka soda. It’s the responsible thing to do." - Bryan Kim
