"This is London. A magical place where you learn the art of emotional warfare every time you attempt to rent a one-bed, but you’re also able to drink chilled red wine in deeply gorgeous pubs that have the kind of sound systems that Jack Antonoff would have a crush on. Such is the case with this Islington wine den where Fred Again enthusiasts and juicy pickle-positive burgers exist in perfect harmony with glasses of ruby Gamay and eavesdropping on promising third dates. If actually going on a casual, but seductively candlelit, third date is your thing, this terracotta looker’s cosy corners will work for that too. Although Godet is more drinking than dining, and more tunes than chewing, the short menu of thick, saucy patties by Perk’d Up Burger and nice little nibbles of the croquette and stuffed olives persuasion are worth getting involved in. video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley" - Heidi Lauth Beasley
