Lil' Danny Speedo's Go Fly A Kite Lounge - Review - East End - Houston - The Infatuation

"There are numerous dive bars in the East End, all with their own niche (karaoke, daiquiris, great hamburgers). The sweet spot Lil' Danny Speedo’s Go Fly A Kite Lounge—Lil’ Danny’s, please—hits is the combination of solid cocktails, a decent back bar, and just the right level of grime. Plus you can bring your dog. This bar has a healthy rolodex of regulars, which is pretty much everyone in the inner loop service industry. If they make your coffee, serve your table, or bartend somewhere else, you will probably run into them on Lil' Danny’s patio. You can snag a table outside most nights, often because it only gets busy after 11pm, and sometimes at the few tables and bar stools inside. We prefer going any night there’s a food pop-up or after a good meal in East Downtown." - Chelsea Thomas
