"Danang Kitchen has many reasons to visit, like savory rice cakes or bánh mì chảo served on a sizzling skillet with bread and bone marrow. But it’s their mì quảng, a central Vietnamese staple, that made us a regular at this small Uptown restaurant. Each bowl has chewy, turmeric-based rice noodles and fresh herbs (banana flower, cilantro, and Vietnamese coriander are just a few members of the all-star lineup), sitting in a shallow broth. It’s topped with shrimp, pork, quail eggs, peanuts, plus a sesame rice cracker that gives it a little crunch." - john ringor
