"When you come to Potli for dinner, know that hefty butter chicken samosas and big round booths are on the agenda. This friendly Hammersmith restaurant is old-school in flavour, but inventive in its dishes. Inspired by Indian markets, the walls are painted in bright colours and you’ll find a full-on tuk tuk in the dining room. Big groups happily pile into the booths, ordering poppadoms before even knowing what’s on the menu. And while that includes classics like tandoori chicken, it also has things you’re less likely to find everywhere, like citrussy pani puri or a Portuguese-influenced wild boar vindaloo. Come for a casual catch-up during the week if you’re in a group, or for a great-value bottomless Sunday lunch. Just make sure you try the butter chicken samosas. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute Food Rundown Butter Chicken Samosa The thick outer coating of this samosa is perfectly crisp, and it’s generously filled with chunks of butter chicken. But it’s the makhani gravy dipping sauce that really makes this. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Chooza Khas Makhani Tender chunks of grilled chicken in a creamy, tomato sauce—this is an easy yes. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Dal Makhani This 24-hour slow-cooked black lentil curry is a peppery must-order. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak
