"Little Red Kitchen Bake Shop sticks out like the sweetest thumb on a stretch of 4th Avenue that’s otherwise pretty boring. Out of this tiny, bright red Park Slope storefront, a woman named Susan has been cranking out cookies, cookie pies, and brookies since 2024. Her husband is often at the register, occasionally yelling to the back for information, like what special flavor cinnamon bun they’re doing this Friday. But our favorite time to visit is on Saturday mornings. That's when the soft, squishy, classic cinnamon rolls make an appearance, starting at 10am. They're buttery and glazed, with dark, caramelized bottoms. Their specials are worth a try too, like a Dubai chocolate egg, which bursts with a thick, peanut butter-adjacent pistachio paste as soon as you bite into it. photo credit: Willa Moore" - Willa Moore
