"At some restaurants, we’ll forgive any number of offenses—even being closed on your birthday, even when you really, really wanted their pizza on your birthday. Lomo Pizzeria is the best pizza in Norfolk, and possibly all of Hampton Roads. They’re closed nearly half the week and they routinely run out of pizza on a Friday or Saturday evening, but one bite of that floppy, New York-style slice and all is forgiven. There’s no table service, but they do sell beer and natural wine by the bottle, making it a slept-on dine-in spot. Claim a booth inside or a bench on the patio and live your childhood pizza parlor fantasy. The menu is small, just a handful of pies including a seasonal special, garlic knots, and a seasonal salad or two. There are no wrong answers, but go ahead and get a big group together so you can order it all." - Alicia Camden
