Nivà Gelateria - Review - Centre Ville - Cannes - The Infatuation

"If you don’t have time for the hour-and-a-half train ride to Italy, just head to Nivà Gelateria instead. The long lines at this Turin import’s Centre Ville ice cream shop attest to how good it is (there’s a second outpost around the corner, so you can walk by both to scope the wait time). Indeed most gelatos would taste great on a radiant day in the South of France, but Nivà takes its creamy concoctions to the next level, mixing milk from the Italian Alps, hazelnuts from Piedmont, and seasonal fruits. The result is refreshing and unusual flavors like bright bergamot and velvety fig and ricotta. And though Cannes is about 1,000 miles from Palermo, we have to admit their silky gelato-stuffed brioche sandwich, a Sicily original, is a delicious use of A+ French bread." - Sophie Friedman
