"Xanadu, a neon-lit roller rink in Bushwick, looks like the kind of place where you’d hold hands with your crush for the first time in middle school. The only difference is that it gets the full-on Jefferson Street L-stop party treatment, with $15 cocktails, DJs spinning disco and house, and funhouse mirrors in the bathrooms. Bring out your neon, your short shorts, your cropped jean jackets, and your leg warmers, because this place is a recipe for a really fun night—even if your roller skating skills are on par with Fergie singing the national anthem. There are snacks, like a pierogi-loaded Polish hot dog and tuna tartare Frito pies. Xanadu takes reservations for table space, so come with a big group of friends on a night with a DJ you like, or for a birthday. Skate rentals cost $7. photo credit: Mike Shane" - Will Hartman
