The 18 Best Brunch Spots In NYC

"Is an eggless breakfast burrito still a breakfast burrito? We don’t know, or really care. All we know is that you can only get Ras’s vegan kitfo burrito during brunch, and that it’s worth seeking out. At this vegan Ethiopian spot in Crown Heights, the burrito is stuffed with pea protein crumble, black beans, brown turmeric rice, and avocado, and it all comes together to create a mysteriously creamy bite, even without cheese. They also have a great breakfast plate with spicy berbere scrambled eggs, dirkosh firfir, and jackfruit kitfo—an all-time favorite of Ras regulars. Walk-ins will easily get a seat inside, but the rainbow colored tables scattered around the sidewalk get scooped up quickly, so make your reservations a few days in advance.
