"Originally from London, Birley Bakery has a bit of a pedigree—the owner comes from a family of posh private nightclub entrepreneurs (his dad owned the famous club Annabel's). This bakery outpost is on the Upper East Side, and you can grab croissants or homemade chocolates and a coffee to go, or take your lemon tart to the upstairs seating area for afternoon tea.
