"Oceano Kitchen produces the kind of seasonal meals you convince yourself you’re going to make when you visit the farmers market instead of letting swiss chard rot in your fridge. The rotating menu has influences from Italy to Japan, but ultimately still feels very Florida thanks to local seafood and vegetables sourced from Kai-Kai Farms. Any of the pastas or crudos are a safe bet, but their wood-fired pizza also deserve table real estate. The menu is large enough (and changes often enough) that you can eat here twice a week without getting bored. Oceano has the casual elegance of a Nancy Meyers movie, or the oversized collared shirt Ina Garten wears. Their recent renovation has added a warmth to the space that makes it perfect for date night. But it’s maintained the kind of breezy, beach-adjacent character that made this a local favorite before they got all fancy on us and added a valet." - Katie Walsh
