"Most of Lake Tahoe’s fine-dining restaurants are classic American, but Restaurant Trokay—with its unexpected but well-executed menu pairings—is likely the most experimental (and expensive) of these options in the area. They do a seasonal, prix-fixe tasting menu, which blends dishes and ingredients from around the world into one cohesive menu. Recently, they paired shima aji from Japan with Maryland blue crabs and spaghetti topped with French truffles.
