2 Days In Helsinki

"Completed in 1826, the Lutheran Old Church was only ever meant to be temporary. As Helsinki experienced rapid population growth in the early 19th-century, the city’s existing church couldn’t cope with the growing congregation. Plans were drawn up for a new, larger building, but significant delays in construction meant a quick solution was necessary." - The MICHELIN Guide Nordic Editorial Team
