"The name, which comes from the Spanish verb “cocinar” (to cook), is highly apt as Yolanda León and Juanjo Pérez met while working together in different restaurants before they decided to come together in search of a joint dream. The unexpectedly modern interior of the historic Casa del Peregrino (1750), next to the monumental Parador-Hostal de San Marcos, provides the backdrop for creative cuisine centred around a tasting menu (Cocinar León) which tells a story. It is based around the best local ingredients and evolves weekly in line with the seasons, accompanied by the best wines in the region.
