"This simple little eatery is named after an Icelandic cookbook and shares its premises with the Saga Museum. Old recipes are given modern twists, resulting in delicious dishes with a creative edge. The finest seasonal produce is used throughout the tasting menu, and transformed into refined, well-balanced dishes by the kitchen team. Friendly, professional service completes the picture." - Michelin Inspector

Forrettabarinn Restaurant & Bar

Restaurant · Reykjavik

"Forrettabarinn attracts as many locals as it does tourists, so you know you’re in a good place. From sautéed cod and chorizo with smoked onion jam, to Creme Bruleé with local rhubarb – chef and owner Robert Olafsson has established a great reputation for delicious dishes. Praised for its presentation and service, as much as its food, the restaurant also offers a choice of four-tasting menus. Friendly, funky and inimitably Icelandic in style, Forrettabarinn is perfect for a quick bite or a laid-back evening. The downtown location, close to the harbor, galleries and artisan workshops, makes a great backdrop to the vibrant open kitchen and bar offering extensive list of local and international beers - wines & coktail´s."

Reykjavík Röst

Coffee shop · Reykjavik

"Reykjavík Röst is a coffee house/bar by the Old Harbour in Reykjavík and was opened in the summer of 2017. We pride ourselves on our quality coffee, traditional and trendy Keto coffee or coffee with Chaga and Reishi mushrooms, which we call Magic Mushroom. Our sandwiches are on sourdough bread, delivered to us every morning by the local bakery. We are using local products, Icelandic smoked salmon and smoked lamb, to mention some. We have a great selection of Icelandic cakes and traditional pastries. You can also taste the famous Icelandic shark with a shot of Brennivín. Local beers on tap, cocktails, bar snacks, and a fantastic harbour view. We are looking forward to seeing You!"
