@newyorker

"The central conflict of Oxalis, a new restaurant in Prospect Heights, is captured perfectly by the experience of walking through the front door and finding yourself, essentially, in the kitchen. The area where, in another restaurant, you’d expect to find the bar is here occupied by a team of crisply dressed chefs, buzzing gracefully around one another while fussing with small, painstakingly composed plates, placing tiny leaves of oxalis—an edible wild plant—upon radishes with tweezers. Every time a guest enters, the entire staff looks up, startled, as if surprised to see someone there." - Hannah Goldfield
