"Located near Notre Dame and the Sorbonne in a historic 1864 Haussmannian building with flowered balconies, I appreciate the hotel's exposed stone walls, visible wood beams, and original artwork. The recently refurbished rooms are small but comfortable and include a flatscreen TV, desk, AC, and free Wi‑Fi; bathrooms are pristine with rainfall showers and excellent water pressure. The hotel is on a quieter street and is well soundproofed, and I really like the excellent (paid) breakfast each morning with lots of cheese, meats, and fresh fruit—it's my top budget pick for travelers who want an affordable alternative to hostels." - Matthew Kepnes
