"Just steps from Gran Vía, this five-story Generator has two bars (one inside, one on the roof) so it’s easy to hang out and meet other travelers; the rooftop terrace even has jacuzzis. The dorm beds are super comfy with thick mattresses and each bed has a reading light, personal shelf, USB ports, outlets, and under-bed lockers. There’s no kitchen but the bars serve food and a filling breakfast is offered for €7.50; I also noted cheap bike rentals and a 10% HostelPass discount, and included it as the Best Hostel for Families on my list." - Matthew Kepnes
