"Most of the island’s sights, including the Moai, are contained within Rapa Nui National Park; I paid just under $80 USD for foreign entry and was able to purchase the ticket online or on arrival. While the fee can seem steep, it covers access to a once-in-a-lifetime archaeological landscape, and the park area is also the base for activities like scuba diving (single-tank dives around $50 USD — note the ‘sunken Moai’ is actually an old movie prop), surfing, and simply driving or walking between sites." - Matthew Kepnes
