"Let’s be real: if you’re not a local, and you’re not here for a day at the park, the reason you’ve come to Chastain in the first place is probably Buttermilk Kitchen. Chef Suzanne Vizethann, a native ATLien and Chopped winning contestant, has cooked up a renowned brunch that sources ingredients from local farms (there’s even a White Oak sticker proudly emblazoning the front window). The quaint building has a line out the door on weekends. Inside, the rooms are filled with eclectic signs, lights and wall paintings, and the bowtie-clad staff bring portions that will require an afternoon nap. It’s one of Atlanta’s best brunches (recommendation: order anything/everything with pimento cheese in it), and a definite must for visiting the neighborhood." - Russell Shaw Design
