"With three spires able to be seen from most places in Edinburgh, St. Mary’s Cathedral is hard to miss. It’s the mother church of the Diocese of Edinburgh in the Scottish Episcopal Church and opens its doors every day to parishioners and visitors. St. Mary’s was completed in 1879 thanks to an architectural competition that saw Sir George Gilbert Scott winning with his final design inspired by early Gothic churches and abbeys of Scotland.
