"The University of Arts in Kiel plays an important role in the cultural life of the city, for it is the only officially approved University of Arts in Schleswig-Holstein. The programme of the school covers offers four different degrees: Fine Arts, Scenography/Interior Design, Communication Design and Industrial Design. Twice a year, at the end of each term, the school opens its doors to student applicants and art lovers. However, the yearly exposition called 'Einblick/Ausblick' is the main event of the year, with the presentation of works in every faculty, workshops, alumni meetings and parties. During these four days, all the staff and students gather to celebrate the successes and failures of the academic year, creating a very special atmosphere throughout the halls of the school. At night, concerts and parties like the 'Arfrade-Party' attract both the young and the old alike.
