"With each new addition to its growing empire, Lamplighter tweaks its recipe—to continued success. The Morris Street location took a monochromatic approach to its mid-campus location, with white subway tile, steel furniture, hanging black lamps, and the star, a matte black La Marzocco espresso machine. Their menu is a little more robust here (more baked goods, different sandwiches), but the coffee is just as much of a priority as it always has been. Get your Lamplighter lattes, drip (always two different roasts), strong cold brew, in addition to fantastic teas and other specialties like the Golden Milk Latte—a turmeric/milk blend. For a deep-VCU location, the coffeeshop is filled with all sorts of creatives, activists, neighbors, journalists, and even politicians.
