"On a walking street in the heart of historic Porto, right next door to the Misericórdia church and museum, PortoBay Flores is quite literally a collision of the old and the new: a 16th-century palace with a brand-new addition, and inside a thoroughly modern luxury boutique hotel. The 11 rooms and suites in the old palace offer classic architectural details, but the 55 in the new wing are scarcely less attractive.
