"Housed in a restored 15th century property, Académie Hôtel Lyon is full of the same historic charm as the cobbled streets that surround it. Situated in Vieux Lyon, Lyon’s UNESCO-protected old town, the hotel still retains many of its centuries-old design elements, including its listed courtyard, arched stone doorways, and a sculpted coat of arms. Given the age of the building, rooms are understandably on the smaller side, but feel cozy rather than cramped, with parquet flooring, wood panelling, and the original French beamed ceilings. There’s no restaurant — although you can stop by for a drink at the cocktail bar linked to the hotel — but you won’t be short of options in Vieux Lyon, which is one of the city’s gastronomic hotspots." - Tablet Hotels
