"A few minutes outside of Aix-en-Provence, in the countryside that so inspired Cézanne, is a lovely small luxury hotel and spa in a style that freely mixes antique and contemporary elements. Les Lodges Sainte-Victoire is an 18th-century manor house accompanied by three freestanding villas of more recent vintage; the villas are ultra-modern while the rooms and suites in the old house are only moderately less so. The hotel’s spa is worth the trip, and so too is the restaurant, Le Saint Estève, where chef Julien Le Goff serves dishes inspired by the flavors of the terroir of the South." - Tablet Hotels
