"Der jahrhundertealte Brauch der Krampusläufe ist in Tirol besonders fest verankert. Der höllische Lärm und das teuflische Gebahren soll, so die Überlieferung, die bösen Geister austreiben. Im Tiroler Unterland finden die Krampusläufe Anfang Dezember statt, Höhepunkt ist der 5. Dezember, hier tritt der Krampus oftmals als Begleiter des Heiligen Nikolaus auf. Der Kitzbüheler Krampusverein "Ruatnpass" pflegt aktiv die regionale Krampus-Tradition. Das Museum zeigt - gerne auch im Rahmen einer Führung - echtes Brauchtum hautnah und beeindruckt durch händisch hergestellte Kostüme und ca. 600 - teils selbst geschnitzte - Masken."
