"Laid-back and family-run, this 18-suite boutique hotel offered me an excursion up Mount Etna and sits roughly an hour from the heart of the volcano, somewhere halfway between the charmingly unpolished city of Catania and Taormina. Run by the Faros, its spacious communal living room displays photos of nonnas, uncles, and kids, and the family also operates a local floral park and winery that were on my schedule to visit.
