So many good things to say about this place that I'm gonna take the untraditional route and talk about the other aspects besides the food that really stood out to me. The service was impeccable! Shout out to Yeri and the rest of the staff for really taking care of us. They astonished our table with just how fast (quick and quiet like ninjas) they moved and their excellent coordinated teamwork really spoke to their level of professionalism. Another detail that needs to be addressed and highlighted was the attention and the intentional thought for utensil selection for each of our dishes; absolutely impressive! The angled knives we received for our octopus dish were 1000% the best tool for that meal then the long thin spoons that were given when we had the churros and ice cream, couldn't have provided a better experience for us to properly enjoy. I've never seen a restaurant execute this so spot on in MY LIFE! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather while we snacked on the octopus, Beef Lomo, and churros & ice cream...all very good. Sadly, we learned that the business is moving in the next couple of months to Montebello. Best of luck CevicheStop at your new location, we'll miss you.

My husband loves ceviche so we enjoyed going to their original location on the West side. We came to try this spot last weekend with my parents. The restaurant is nice but the air condition wasn’t great. The waitress recommended the $95 halibut ceviche dish which included a tableside demonstration. It was nice but I didn’t realize that the dish was only one appetizer. They show you the whole fish but only give you half of it. If I had known, we would have just ordered the a few normal ceviche dishes. We got the paella and lomo saltado as well. Paella didn’t have much seafood or seafood flavor. For the lomo saltado we asked for medium but the meat came out well done and very tough. But they did remake it for us. The prices are high for the portion size. Overall, would not come out of our way to come eat here again.

Fell in love with this place! The seafood is so fresh and delicious, every dish is made with love! I'm ready to drive here an hour to enjoy this meal! Despite the amazing food, the atmosphere here is so simple, homey. The people who work here are always positive, they really welcome their guests. Thank you❤️

Some of the best Peruvian food you'll find in LA. Insanely good, great service, and a wonderfully welcoming head chef. The live music is nice too (though a bit load if outside). Parking can be a but challenging based on where it's located (corner of two major streets)... Small lot in the back, street parking elsewhere

Ceviche stop transports you the one of the greatest culinary capitals of the world, Peru. The flavors and freshness are always spot on + Chef Walther is truly a pleasure. I highly recommend the hangover ceviche, octopus, chicha morada + the paella.

Honestly, I found it by accident. It is in a tricky spot but you can’t miss the Peruvian flag! It’s brand new and inside is super nice. I didn’t have a really good impression with the one in Culver City bc the service wasn’t great BUT here! Beyond my expectations and even the Chef was there and recommended me The Hangover Ceviche and it was 10/10!!! Loved it!!!!! Also, they have a little store inside and had my fav cookies! ❤️

In my opinion, the food here is visually michelin star quality. They use a huge variety of specialty Peruvian ingredients such as aji amarillo where a less authentic resturant would use easier to find US alternatives like banana peppers. Their ingredients are all extremely high quality and fresh, especially the seafood. Everything was delicious. I had a trio of ceviches that were all great and roasted beef hearts that were incredibly tender and savory. The atmosphere is surprisingly casual for the exceptional quality of food but for me that's a benefit. It's more comfortable and relaxed and perhaps it's part of the reason why the prices are so reasonable compared to other restaurants serving the same quality of food.

We've always enjoyed the food at this restaurant, which is why we were eager to share the experience with friends. Unfortunately, our recent visit was deeply disappointing. Despite our excitement, we ended up waiting an excruciating 45 minutes to an hour for our meals. While I tried to remain patient, my frustration grew as we watched the chef consistently prioritize a 'VIP' table, which he made a point of announcing repeatedly. What could have been a lovely evening turned into a frustrating ordeal, leaving us feeling overlooked and undervalued as customers. This blatant favoritism has soured our experience, and sadly, we won't be returning.

The Hangover ceviche is delicious and a must try if you like ceviche. The octopus was also delicious and could even be an entree. The passion fruit agua fresca is yummy and refreshing. Sad that this location in Culver City is closing. The half and half pasta was good, but a bit pricey.

I can't believe I've never been here, the space is chill but festive at the same time, service was friendly and very attentive. We had the Hangover Ceviche is one of the best I've ever had! The Lomo Saltado and Octopus were good but the Pescado Frito (Whole Snapler) was excellent, I will be back again and again.

Went here for lunch, and everything tasted great. It's a bit on the pricier side for a quick lunch or dinner but the food tastes great. So if you're down to spend West Hollywood prices on decent food then this spot is for you.

Had to eat near LAX to pick up a friend, so a group of us decided to find a Culver City restaurant. Also saw a social media reel on the chef recently so we went to CevicheStop without a reservation. Arrived right when they opened at 5:30pm for dinner. Ate outside in the patio. Friends went with ceviche platters but I won the dinner selection by choosing the Poor Man's steak. Reminded me of a bandeja paisa from Colombian restaurants but this was a far better cut of steak. Go with medium and it'll be served to perfection. My best meal of 2024 thus far.

Spotted this place on the way to an event, needed to kill some time, so decided to stop for a drink and quick bite. I will start by saying that I was amazingly surprised and delighted that we did stop by. From the outside, it didn't look like much. It's located on a busy street, so you can easily miss it. They have a few parking spaces in a back parking lot, which is shared with other businesses. I got unlucky to find a nicely shaded space under a tree that drops what look like blue berries (so my white car was purple bombed), so now you know. Once inside, there was plenty of open seating, and we were asked if we had a reservation, we didn't but were seated immediately with indoor or outdoor patio options. It was a nice day, and the patio was inviting with umbrellas for shade and high faux shrub privacy wall with a few plants, and even though the busy street is just outside it was surprisingly unnoticeable and very chill. The serving staff was great, friendly, and fully knowledgeable of the menu items. We ordered the hangover Ceviche, which was superb! Nice and lemony, and we asked for it to be extra spicy, which didn't disappoint. We also ordered picarones with figs for dessert, which was ok. The drink selection is limited to only a few Peruvian bottled beers, some specialty cocktails, and 3 other draft beers and wine/sweet wines. Was not expecting to visit a Peruvian Restaurant when we decided to stop but so happy we did. Will happily return again!

Overall: love the food, ambiance and service. We walked in on a Thursday night, and didn't need a reservation for their outside seating. Their menu was unique and trying what I have, I want to come back to try more! Now into the food review: The lobster taco - was exquisite, the flavors were perfect, the hard shell was such a great juxtaposition to the soft lobster texture The mixto ceviche - was unique, the sauce was lemony and well balanced - it tasted different than everything I've ever tried. The pollo saltado - was pretty good too. It was a little bland for my taste. But it was pretty good nonetheless . Pisco Sour - yummy purple corn cocktail that was mixed to perfection. All in all a solid spot, I will be coming back.

Sorry to say my experience to this place was not what I was thinking having a good portion of food to satisfied my tummy but let me tell you with there amazing tease and how they make you feel important makes up for the portion control on this cool restaurant! Please forgive me with no photos to show but most of there favorites are on there website as well here . I did not have time to take a photo as I was very hungry and also when I took a bite of there Classic Ceviche "Catch of the day, aji limo tiger's milk, charred sweet potatoes, Peruvian corn and cancha powder $24.00" Again was not expecting something at the price with a small portion but the tease and how all the Flavors go together is something I keep coming back for more. Yes I would recommend this place for sure!

The Ceviche Stop will now be a must stop for me when I travel to LA! The food was delicious and with great presentation, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean inviting. My colleague from France that has developed an addiction to a Peruvian ceviche simply loved this restaurant. Given the distance she traveled for a good Peruvian ceviche, she was given a plate to sign that will be displayed and this added to the fun dinner we enjoyed! Our waiter Kevin was engaging and addressed my colleague in French upon discovering her home country.

The food and the service are consistently amazing . Highly recommend this place . The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly .

Loved every bite. Being Peruvian, my family is notoriously picky about Peruvian food and the fact that restaurants never make it as good as their mom made it. What's awesome about Ceviche Stop is that it doesn't attempt to make food the way your grandma/tia made it - it elevates it and modernizes it. The arroz chaufa was SO GOOD and a really great portion size. My husband got the tacos - tuna and lobster. He thought they were excellent. We will absolutely be back.

I really enjoyed this spot!! It's in an unassuming little plaza but once you go inside, the vibes are great. I really enjoyed trying some Peruvian classics, like anticuchos (beef heart skewers) that came on a flaming plate. We also ordered tuna tartare, which came with mashed potatoes and made it unique. The kitchen sent out a raw fish appetizer for us and I'm not sure what kind of fish it was but the presentation and preparation was impressive. My boyfriend got the arroz chaufa with chicken and I got the half and half pasta with lomo saltado (half Peruvian pesto sauce and half cheese and pepper sauce-- huancaina). I think I liked the pesto a little bit better but they were both good when mixed with the lomo saltado and grilled onions that separate the two halves. I tried a pisco sour for the first time, in two different flavors-- passion fruit and Peruvian purple corn-- and I really liked it! My boyfriend tried the chicha morada which is a non-alcoholic drink made from the purple corn. The service was efficient and friendly. Overall it was super fun to experience a cultural cuisine that I have only tried a few times. I would recommend this place if you like Peruvian food or want to try it for the first time. Surprisingly didn't order the ceviche, but I guess I'll just have to go back to try it!

My friend recommended this place so we came all the way from Claremont to check it out on Saturday night. The seafood paella was great. This is the dish I highly recommend. The beef one was delicious as well. I enjoyed a passion fruit drink (nonalcoholic), it was a bomb! Ceviche wasn't the best, I believe there was just too much of a sauce. Overall, recommend to experience it yourself.

Food its Amazing service its a bit slow but not to get hangry! The octopus and the anticuchos are to die for!! The the sea food stew is just ok comparing with the other items. The place is small , so reserve in advance. We will definitely come back

Looks saltado Lobster nachos Shredded chicken My first mission landing in LA was to scout out Lomo Saltado at the closest Peruvian spot. What I didn't expect was to find my newest addiction in the lobster nachos from CevicheStop! A pile of homemade chips stacked with tasty bites of sweet lobster together with tangy guacamole. The patio was a perfect spot to enjoy satisfying eats in the warm LA air. The people working our table were pleasant and attentive to every food whim. We will definitely repeat a visit to CevicheStop anytime we're in LA!

CevicheStop is in Washington and La Cienega with a small lot in the back. There is outdoor seating and also a small indoor section as well. I recommend the outdoor seating if you don't mind the traffic noise too much but indoors was a bit too loud for me with the music. Came for the ceviche obviously and got the mixto and aguachile. Both were really refreshing with a mixture of seafood items with the burst of freshness from the lemon lime flavors. Of the two I recommend the mixto. It felt fresher but you can't go wrong with either. I would skip the octopus tentacle appetizer. It always sound great and while the sauces and it being on a bed of quinoa was appetizing, the octopus itself was a bit mushy and didn't have that bite that I had expected. We also had the lomo saltado which was our way to get some carb in us. The flavors were pretty good but the steak itself was first overcooked which they gladly recooked and even when it was cooked the way we wanted, it was still tough and honestly the dish could've done without it. There was a chicken and seafood which might have been better but happy they were apologetic and happy to fix it. Overall it was a decent meal. It worth a visit but imo not something to go out of your way for.

Fun surprise for a restaurant. This use to be a Mediterranean place I believe and now it is a ceviche stop. Whew, how fun! I will say they are on an impossible corner (washington and lacienga) but you can do it! The parking lot is small but they do have some reserved spots for guests. The ambiance inside is colorful with cultural decor and beautiful plating. Although they have ceviche, I saw my Peruvian dish saltado! Woot woot. Had to order it along with they signature peruvian drink with brandy (it was fancy, I got it neat) The servers were nice but i couldn't tell who was over what section. I sat by the kitchen area (dont do it!) There is a bell that they ring everytime something is ordered and I unfortunately had to hear it each time. Luckily, i toned it out with my super powers. I sat for 10 mins watching servers go to new and old tables but not mine. Then, a server came inside from the patio area and greeted me. Strange flow chart for service. Food did not take long to arrive. I ordered the tacos as an appetizer and it was tasty but $16 for about 4 bites! Whew! The filet mignon saltado was so good! The rice it came with was perfect and the sauce made the mixture flavorful. I will come back for the ceviche next time since I gor distracted!

My husband wanted to try this place. We decided to have lunch here. We even found parking spot. Food has good presentation and tastes good as well. Menu is in the pricey side but with the inflation so high. Prices have to go up. We ordered three dishes and one drink. Total cost is $100 out of the door.We enjoyed it. Not an everyday lunch spot though.

This would be a great date place. It's pretty much its own thing and it's off the beaten path. Super cool. It's right on the corner of LaCienaga and Washington. Plenty of free parking. There's some indoor seating, but most of the seating is outdoors. They have heaters so a fresco is quite pleasant, and the street noise isn't even noticeable. The drink menu is really nice, both for alcohol and non-alcohol specialty drinks. It's called Ceviche Shop, so of course, my friends and I had traditional ceviche dishes. For starters, we shared a grilled octopus appetizer. It was a beautiful presentation. Not much of a serving size, but it was delicious. For dinner, one of my friends had "The Hangover" ceviche. She said it was a little too sweet and a little too salty, but it still has some taste. She will try something else next time, she said. My other friend had the shrimp and prawns ceviche. He loved it. It was packed full of shrimp and prawns, just as described. I had "The Mixto Ceviche." It's their most popular dish. It was loaded with all kinds of good stuff but the sauce was so salty I couldn't taste anything but the salt and the citrus. I had a hard time eating it because it was so super salty. I wonder if they made a mistake with the sauce. It ruined the entire dish for me. I ate it because I don't like wasting food, but it was not enjoyable at all. More like having to eat it than wanting to eat it. I might give it another try because it's such a cool little place.

Bomb! Literally one of the best lomo saltados I've ever had. Their chicha is also amazingggg. I def want to come back and try more things, the place is small but so cute, great ambiance and amazing staff!

This place. Freaking amazing Ceviche, which is what I came here for...hence the name. Got the Mixto-- Huge bowl, mouth watering and spicy Liche de Tigre. Also got a fried seafood bowl which I guess is a good compliment to the acid. Good amount of seafood for 2 people. Would come again if I'm ever in the area!

This is a cute Peruvian restaurant. The staff are attentive and will check up on you every now and then to make sure you're taken care of. I've never tried Peruvian food before, but this place set the bar high for me! I absolutely loved everything. Def recommend sharing when you come here. Mixto (ceviche): Al the ingredients tasted fresh and the tigers milk (yellow sauce) made the dish tart and so refreshing. The crispy sweet potato strands on top added a slight crunch. My favorite were the scallops. Seafood Rice Paella: As it says on the menu, this dish is huge and would recommend for 2 ppl. This was a beautiful dish topped with fresh ingredients that didn't make the paella on the bottom feel heavy in our stomachs. Squeezing the roasted lime was the cherry on top. Chicha Morada: I liked this a lot. It tasted like a sangria but without the alcohol. Delicious and paired well with the food.

Monday Memorial Day 5/27/24. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Worst dinning experience I have ever had. Service was god awful. Food took forever to come out. Definitely won't be coming back and it's unfortunate as I live 2 mins away from this place and this was the first time here. Food was ruined by shitty service. If I was the owner I would definitely look into getting better staff. Place is a joke. Also be warned they have a B rating which is hidden from view.

Update: The chef met us in the parking lot and apologized. He made it right and we appreciate the response at the end. We will continue to support them. The service left something to consider. The food was flavorful and good. The issue is, the restaurant was not busy by any means. We ordered a little bit of everything as we were excited to try the menu. My wife's food never came out, after waiting for 15 mins the server said sorry just a little longer. After 30 minutes she still had not received her food and we were all finished with ours. The biggest disrespect is the owner/chef was sitting at a table next to us visiting with some people the entire time of our dinner and never stepped in to see what was going on. We paid our bill and never got an apology, and that sucks. I work in the food industry so I try not to make a big deal but this was pretty sad. I feel petty writing this but I got to get it out.

I have passed this colorful corner spot so many times I cannot recall and each time I thought I need to stop and try their ceviche. I love ceviche and generally there are two kinds, one Mexican and one Peruvian. After all these years, I finally decided today to stop and check out this joint . I finally made it to the Ceviche Stop on La Cienega. You enter through a gate onto an outdoor patio and then up to the bar counter where there are tables on either side adorned with colorful Peruvian colors and objects. It's Peruvian so they have steak, potato's, Peruvian style ceviches and other Peruvian seafood and meat dishes. The menu offered plenty of choices but I felt I was obliged to order the classic ceviche. I'm drinking a CHICHA MORADA: Purple corn boiled with apple, pineapple, cinnamon drink that's delicious. The ceviche had sweet potato, fish and lots of interesting spices swirling in just the right amounts eaten with tasty corn tortilla chips. I will be back to try another dish as this ceviche was epic.

Love this place!!! My wife and I decided to go here after seeing somebody post about it on IG. We had the Mixto Ceviche, grilled octopus, hamachi and Parmesan scallops. Everything was excellent with just the right amount of spice. We will be back soon!

Ceviche - delicious Anticuchos - delicious Service so questionable and uncomfortable that because of that, I don't think I'll be back. We ordered something else, can't remember what - it was good. Outside atmosphere was great and plating was really nice.

One word: Fire. I decided to do appetizers as my meal because I smelled the scent of fire roasted anticuchos and I decided it wouldn't be a good idea to pass on it. I was right. I wish I could explain the flavor profile of the anticucho marinade but I'll just have to leave it at- my mouth had a party, and I had a damn blast. Also ate- Parmesan scallops with ají amarillo butter and truffle oil. They were great, but the cheese overpowered and I expected to taste the ají amarillo more. Amazing regardless. 4/5. The tuna causa- 5/5 - Every bite was a delight. A fusion with the Japanese - Peruvian Nikkei flavors in the marinade of the tuna. The smooth texture of the mashed ají potatoes, with the avocado sandwiched in between, was so good! The fried wonton takes it up another notch if you spread some of the causa mixture onto broken pieces of wonton. So worth the try if you've never had causa. Leche de tigre- Thank you, for doing it right! Omg. YAS. Flavor, flavor, flavor. My picky formerly non-seafood eating boyfriend now loves leche de Tigre. Victory. Overall, authentically Peruvian! The anticuchos brought me back to the streets of Surquillo, and Lima. A round of applause please

This place does not disappoint! The seafood is fresh, full of amazing, meat is flavorful. The waitstaff is awesome and friendly. Already thinking of plans when to come back!

I went to this restaurant twice in one day. I got the recommendation, sone type of seafood mix... photo below. It was okay but I really should have gotten the red snapper. I went back later that day and got the fish. It was Amazing!!!! The service is ok. They don't listen well. We asked for a cup of ice with lemon, and they brought us ice water both times. Service was slow as well. I sat there for at least 15 minutes before any type of acknowledgment. The lobster tacos were amazing as well.

The food here is fantastic. Unique and unusual flavors, textures and colors. Do not miss this place. Service was slow as staff was limited. The owner/chef was cleaning tables and taking orders. We will be back!

Very delicious Peruvian food. I highly recommend it. It's a beautiful environment and good service. I drove 6 hours to enjoy the ceviche and the famous jalea acevichada, and the hangover ceviche was the best. I wish I could eat more.

I came in right at 12pm when they opened. Such kind, lovely people. I'd heard about this place and have driven by so many times, and I'm not sure why I didn't stop here sooner. FANTASTIC ceviche! I got the classic and inhaled it! The fish was fresh, buttery. I loved the addition of sweet potato which balanced our the flavors so nicely! The ceviche was a star! The lobster taco, also good, couldn't outshine the ceviche but it was a great addition to bulk up my meal. I also ordered the maracuya, which is a delicious passion fruit drink. I will absolutely be stopping here again to try more menu items. In the meantime, I've ordered a classic ceviche to go so I can share with my family when I get home!

Ceviche Stop is a must for anyone who loves Peruvian food. Everything on the menu is perfection. I always get the octopus - that's cooked to perfection, Smokey & soft. I love their anticuchos too! The hangover is the perfect ceviche. I really can't recommend it enough.

This shopping center is always a pain to get into but it is 100% worth the u-turn to come eat here. The restaurants decor has been updated since the first time we came and it now matches the quality of the dishes.

COCKROACH in the food?! The most disgusting thing we ever experienced.If we didn't see it,we were gonna eat that shit?! And you are calling apologize and want to give us free meal?! Is that simple huh? We are not hunger for free meal,dude! You better should close your kitchen,if you have that kind of issues instead you feed people food with cockroach!!!! So when I see that chef's big billboard,my first sentence was I hope food is not gonna get bad,and boom-COCKROACH IN THE FOOD! Before, that was a great place and we even didn't know who is the chef,now everything change for advertisement, so you know what I mean! Good thing doens't need that! Congratulations you guys ruined it!

Best ceviche in the city. Randomly came across this place and everything we got was crazy good- octopus, scallops, and the classic ceviche. Will definitely come again!

Siiii! This spot is it! This Peruvian approves!! I am always pretty critical of Peruvian places but this spot exceeded expectations. We ordered: lomo saltado, the hangover ceviche, anticucho, and Arroz con Mariscos. The leche de tigre of the ceviche was so good, flavorful and had a nice spice. Fish was very fresh, accompanied with fried calamari, it's simply perfect. Lomo saltado meat was flavorful and tender, same with the anticuchos. The arroz con mariscos was a pretty big portion which I am not complaining about!! My only constructive critique, was that the service was a bit slow. But the servers were all very kind and personable. The location has a cute patio with heaters and a little hidden area. The inside was cozy and lively. All around great Vibrass!!!!

They recently changed their menu, so the downside is that I miss their pállela. Aside from that, The food is delicious! Prices is reasonable. Easy to make reservations.

Not sure how this place still open honestly, I wish I would have noticed that the health department graded this place a "C".........our food had a COCKROACH in it!! I have never experienced anything like this in my entire life, thankfully as I was about to put the first bite in my mouth I looked down and saw what it looked like bug legs mixed with the food on the plate and I as started digging, there it was! I immediately got up in shock, showed the waitress and she quickly removed the plate before I was able to take a picture. My wife and I got up and left that place immediately. Sad to say but the idea of having Peruvian food does not sound appealing to us anymore, it will probably be a while before I try again, at a different place of course. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE AND DO NOT LET THE 4 STARS THEY HAVE ON YELP FOOL YOU......

I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday. Food was Authentic Peruvian. We met the chif, and he was very friendly and engaged with every customers. It's very impressive and excellent service. I loved Ceviche. Boyfriend ordered the steak. It was a big portion. I also tried shrimp and loster tacos. Service : Our server Kevin was amazing. He was friendly and helpful. Ambiance: I loved and loved Latin music all night long. And it was cute decorating. Good place to celebrate speacial occasions and date night for a couple

Took care of night hunger! And Ceviche itch. Driving by one evening, I've been cruising by for months and never noticed this place. Today stopped by for dinner. Cozy little place with good food. We had Lomo Saltado Filet Mignon and The Hangover Ceviche. Pretty good dishes. These would be Peruvian style dishes that are a little different from mainstream Mexican dishes but good. Good parking In lot with 7/11.
