9 Pop-Up Bakeries We Love - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"There are plenty of conchas around the Mission, but Florecita’s are special. The light topping crackles, and the bread underneath is so airy it practically sighs with every bite. Flavors rotate (blue corn is our go-to), but they’re always served warm, straight from the oven. Preorder yours online to guarantee you get exactly what you want, or try your luck walking in, though chances are they’ll be sold out of at least one flavor. Pick-ups are Thursday through Sunday only, and orders open on Tuesdays." - patrick wong

Florecita only makes conchas—and they're great - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"There are plenty of conchas all around the Mission, just a short walk from Florecita, but this pop-up bakery’s version is special. The topping is light and crumbly, but stays firmly planted, while the bread is so airy it sighs with every bite. Florecita's five-flavor rotation includes the usual chocolate and strawberry, as well as churro, blue corn (our top choice, always), and seasonal options like peach cobbler. There’s a limited supply for walk-ins, so we suggest preordering online for pick-up. Either way, each one is delivered straight from a warm oven. photo credit: Patrick Wong" - Patrick Wong

Went yesterday since I’ve been hearing so much about how this place has the best concha’s in the city. They did not lie. These truly are the best concha’s I’ve ever had. The flavors are subtle but work really well. The bread itself is so fluffy and soft it’s like eating a cloud. 10/10 wish they opened more days in the week but it’s worth waiting for the weekend for these delicious buns Update: these taste just as good even the next day in the toaster oven. Most concha’s go hard after a day or two but these were just as great the following day.

Wonderful shop, beautiful concha design and taste, I fell in love with this place and not only highly recommend to swing by. Definitely encourage for anyone from all parts of the city to swing by and check it out. Absolutely wonderful experience!

Baker, my Cavalier King Charles dog, and I visited Florecita and loved their concha. My grandfather and father owned a bakery in Mexico City so I’ve had my share of panaderia goodies, including conchas, and I must say Florecita is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back.

It has been so great to have an sweet treat from the lovely owners (sometimes on a weekly basis). I highly recommend everyone pop in and give one of their conchas a try. The menu is ever-evolving, with some staples, so you can find a delicious new fav or stick to the comfort of your usual!

Stumbled upon this bakery a few weeks ago and now it is one of my favs! The Mexican conchas are soft and crunchy at the same time, beautifully made. It reminds me of Asian style pineapple buns!

Wow, the pan dulce here is no joke. I’ve lived in the mission for 6 years and this tops them all. Light, crunch and insanely flavorful. You really can’t go wrong w the flavors but we tried the churro and loved it.

I didn’t think I was much of a fan of concha. Stopped in with a friend. We both picked up an assortment of concha. They were incredibly good! Staff/owners were super nice as well. I live over the hills of the East Bay but I’m already thinking about when I can make a return trip. Very close to the 18th Street Heath Store so great place to stop before or after Heath visit.

Delicious, fluffy and warm! These pan dulces are delightful. You won’t regret coming here! The strawberry hibiscus was particularly delightful with a perfect texture.
