Giovedì - Review - Chinatown - Oahu - The Infatuation

"Giovedì proves there’s sheer delight to be had in culinary mashups like gnocchi crossed with mapo tofu or the “Vietnam-atriciana” that adds lap xuong to a pasta-like preparation. Definitely get the prosciutto with bánh tiêu and capellini granchio for an ethereal pairing of angel hair pasta and delicate crab. The long and narrow inside space is perfect for quiet date nights accompanied by a glass of wine or strawberry-infused Negroni, while outside in the brick-lined courtyard under twinkling lights is better for groups." - Martha Cheng

The 20 Best New Restaurants of 2025 | Bon Appétit

"Giovedì felt like an extended, convivial dinner party where Jennifer Akiyoshi and Bao Tran weave Italian technique with pan-Asian ingredients: kampachi crudo gilded with Calabrian chili crisp and makrut lime kosho, gnocchi mapo-tofu–style, and smoky lap cheong deepening an Amatriciana made with local egg noodles—an eclectic, neighborhood restaurant rooted in Honolulu’s Chinatown ethos." - ByThe Bon Appétit Staff

Angel Hair Pasta Is Back and Delicious As Ever | Eater

"This Honolulu pop-up plates angel hair with Dungeness crab, salted lemon and kani-miso breadcrumbs; the chef explains that angel hair was chosen over fresh or thicker dried pastas because it releases starch to thicken delicate sauces and resembles Vietnamese vermicelli, making it ideal for Italian-Asian pairings and a popular menu item." - Jaya Saxena

In Chinatown, chefs Bao Tran and Jake Saito weave Italian technique with pan‑Asian flavors—prosciutto with a sesame donut, vibrant crudi, and deftly sauced pastas. Covered by Honolulu Magazine when it moved from pop‑up to permanent space; OpenTable shows steady demand.

We've visited Giovedi once. The space is small but tastefully decorated. We ordered the Hokkaido Milk Rolls with black garlic butter, which was delicious. We also ordered the Prosciutto San Daniele with Vietnamese sesamo donuts and giardiniera pickles (this ended up being my favorite dish and it was truly unique- the giardiniera was amazing- see pics below). For dinner I ordered the Mushroom Donburi, made of nanatsuboshi white & venere black rice, cilantro pesto, pine nut, pecorino romano- which was heavier and greasier than I anticipated, but it was still good. I also want to mention that there's no airconditioning, probably due to the age of the building, so needless to say, it was really hot inside. Overall I recommend this restaurant.

Loved the vibe, staff were so helpful in wine and food selection. Enjoyed all of our appetizers and entrees with favorites being the foie gras and onion dip with shrimp chips. Capellini Granchio with crab was exquisite, close 2nd was Tagliatelle Mapolonese. Surprised by elevated char siu pork, not the usual local style, red wine plums were a treat and pork so tender.

Overall, very solid food!!! Super delicious and unique flavor combinations. My friends and I went for dinner here and split a few dishes. I LOVED the Hokkaido milk rolls with black garlic butter! So good! But it seems kinda sad that my favorite dish was some bread with butter (albeit perhaps some of the best bread & butter I’ve had). Hence I couldn’t give this place 5 stars. We also got the Ahi Carpaccio, Gnocchi Mapolonese, and Dan Mien. While these dishes were well-executed and were a fun twist on familiar dishes/flavors, they were a bit forgettable. They weren’t bad or anything, just not so amazing that I need to come back if that makes sense. Especially since it was not cheap. However, definitely worth a try!

Google
Food and drinks were excellent! The scallop carpaccio was my favorite, it was fresh, bright and had the best crunch texture from the pistachios. I also had the capellini granchio which was delicious as well. Highly recommend this place!

Google
The service was decent. It took a bit to get recognied or seated on arrival. They made great suggestions in what to get as our first time here. Reservations are needed here. The drinks were the best part of the night. I think something was wrong with the gnocchi bc it was mushy and tasted off. Tables were really close today as well. Best to park in municipal parking or street parking is available close by.

I first tried their Asian-Italian fusion at a pop-up before they had a brick-and-mortar, and the pasta completely blew me away—unlike anything I’d ever tasted. Back then, my schedule and time on the island kept me from making it to their other pop-up events, which I always regretted. So finding out they opened a full restaurant felt like a win. Now I can go anytime—and somehow, the pasta is even better than I remembered. I’ve brought foodie friends here, and every single one of them was floored. This place is easily one of my favorite spots on the island. It’s creative, bold, and ridiculously good. Scallop Carpaccio - Amazing. Dan Mien - Amazing. Gnocchi Mabolognese - Amazing. Mushroom Donburi - Good.

Dropped by Giovedi in Honolulu 🌴✨ and the vibe is so different from anything else on the island. It’s giving a bit of a pricier dinner place but worth it. The kind of spot you go to when you want dinner to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of hawaii!🤌🥢🍝 //drinks 🍹 Coastal Brake – $10(mocktail) 🍓 Strawbroni – $16 🌅 Dawn Chorus – $16 🌊 Sun Chong Splash – $17 //entrees 🥖 Hokkaido Milk Rolls – $11 🧅 Onion Dip – $10 🐚 Diver Scallop Carpaccio – $23 //mains 🍜 Yat Tung Chow Egg Noodle – $30 🦀 Capellini Dungeness Crab – $32 🐷 Char Siu Pork – $40

My husband and I came in for dinner while staying in downtown Honolulu. It was sort of tucked away just behind a very busy, energetic restaurant on the corner, making it kinda easy to miss. But we’re glad we didn’t. The space was beautifully decorated and offered both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was wonderful. And the food was amazing. We tried the hoikkado milk buns, fritto misto (tempura vegetables with aioli), the Vietnamese inspired Amatriciana pasta, and the carrot cake. The carrot cake wasn’t our personal favorite, but everything else was truly delicious. And my husband said his mocktail (Coastal Brake) was the best he’s ever had anywhere. We’re pleased to have given them a shot rather than just following the crowds.

Yelp
Had a great experience...a little leery after some of the mixed reviews but went with an open palette. The place got packed so do recommend getting there early. We got a lovely table outside where it was less noisy than inside. We ordered: Hokkiado Milk Rolls Onion Dip Prosciutto San Daniele Gnocchi Mabolinaise Grilled Kampachi Tiramisu 5 spice carrot cake The highlights for me were the prosciutto, gnocchi and grilled kampachi. The prosciutto was served with a fluffy Vietnamese puffy bread, small side of pickled veggies and delicious prosciutto and sliced cheese. Prepared like a sandwich, it provided a great texture, crunch and taste. The gnocchi was lovely and rich with a savory braised beef cheek sauce. The grilled kampachi was my favorite as the portion size was good and cooked perfectly, crispy outside and soft inside with a wonderful vegetable curry sauce. All the other dishes were good but not outstanding or that unique.

Yelp
Maybe I ordered the wrong things. Maybe I was too excited to try this place. But wow. Nothing was good. Started off the meal with $11 Hokkaido Milk Rolls. Sure, they were warm and fluffy, but nothing to write home about and about the same or worse than the table bread that most restaurants at this price point would provide for free. The black garlic butter was a disappointing cacophony of sweet and savory that seemed unable to make up its mind on whether it wanted to taste good or not. Pass. The Mafaldine Malunggay was absolutely tasteless. No hint of flavor whatsoever. Plain green pasta and tomatoes. Like something you might feed a dog who's having some tummy issues. Hard pass. The Mushroom Donburi at least had SOME flavor. The whole thing was overpowered by the taste of the popped venere black rice. Like spoonful after spoonful of slightly burnt microwave popcorn. I feel like this dish *would* have been absolutely delicious as a risotto with a creamy white sauce that balanced the crunchy nuttiness of the venere. But it wasn't. Just a dry bowl of mushrooms sitting on tragically overcooked high-quality Japanese rice that tasted like a home kitchen accident. Harder pass. The Gnocchi Mabolognese was the best thing we ate here, but that's not saying much. A failed attempt fusion between gnocchi in beef ragu and mabo tofu. Lacking both the comforting, heartwarming taste of nonna's secret sauce while also lacking the sharp punch of umami deliciousness that is a proper mabo. The gnocchi also lacked the tender chewiness that makes gnocchi enjoyable to eat--it just melted into nothingness upon first bite. Guess I'm glad I tried it, but never again. The vibes are immaculate, and the waitstaff is friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. But the menu is overpriced for really, really bad food. Hard, hard pass.

Yelp
So so good. All the appetizers and entrees were strong, and some of the dishes are some of the best bites I had during my recent weeklong trip to Honolulu. Definitely get the prosciutto appetizer and the char siu pork. It's been a couple of weeks since we ate here but I'm still thinking about how good that char siu pork was. Focus on the appetizers and entrees. Dessert was nothing special. That said, if I could just get a scoop of that ginger ice cream that's served with the carrot cake, that would be an amazing finish to a great meal. About half of the tables are outside in a courtyard, which can be very nice if the weather is cooperating. It was a beautiful evening the night we were there.

Yelp
Love this concept! Typically one can only find Japanese-Italian restaurants, this spot has a plethora of Asian inspired Italian dishes. I'm in town to visit my family for the holidays so my Aunt took me to this newly opened spot that she recently tried. Although there were only two of us, we ordered like four. ONION DIP - onion five ways, warm shrimp chips - super tasty, lots of good textures. Definitely get it with the caviar, the saltiness gave it good balance. Love the shrimp chips for Asian flare and flavor. FOIE GRAS TORCHON - caramelized onion, vino cotto, served with olive oil toast - the vino cotto was excellent, the plate definitely needed more of it. It provided good acidity to liven the dish up. PROSCIUTTO SAN DANIELE - vietnamese sesamo donuts, giardiniera pickles - this is a BIG appetizer but was light enough to whet your palette. I MIGHT have enjoyed a little stronger cheese. CAPELLINI GRANCHIO - dungeness crab, preserved lemon, kani miso breadcrumbs - super light and refreshing. Breadcrumbs provided good crunch texture to make it interesting. OCTOPUS MALFADINE Special of the night - "meat sauce" - must like seafood to enjoy this dish. I THINK they ground the octopus to make the sauce. I liked it but would have LOVED it if there were also larger pieces of octopus floating about. MRS. TRAN'S TIRAMISU - amaro nonino-dipped lady fingers, mascarpone, espresso - a good tiramisu, there happened to be a lot of cocoa powder on ours that evening and I t over powered the amaro nonino a tad. I'd definitely eat here again. There seems to be a lot of interesting items on the menu to try. Street parking in Chinatown is always terrible but great if you get lucky and find a spot. Otherwise, park in the lot under Mei Sum, the one you enter from Beretania and walk a block down. I think it's the "cleanest" relatively speaking.

Yelp
Delicious food and a cute space. We came for dinner and shared a bunch of dishes family style, including the milk rolls, onion dip, mafaldine, mushroom donburi, kampachi, and pork chop. EVERYTHING was delicious and it was the perfect amount of food for 4 of us. We all had different favorites, and nothing was a miss. Giovedi is probably my favorite of the up-and-coming restaurants in Chinatown, especially now that Pig & The Lady has moved to kaimuki. I will absolutely be back here, and even brave the Chinatown parking situation for it.

Yelp
Can't decide between Asian or Italian? At Giovedis, you can have both. Located behind Fete, this restaurant serves Italian with an Asian twist. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors, in the back courtyard, but is limited, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. On our first visit, we ordered the Hokkaido milk rolls, onion dip, Dan mien Vietnam-Atriciana pasta, gnocchi mapolonese, Washugyu garlic steak, and mushroom donburi. The highlight was the gnocchi which were pillowy soft while the mapo sauce was slightly and delightfully numbing from the Sichuan spices. Most surprising was the crispy black rice in the mushroom donburi and the garlicky peppery, perfectly cooked steak. The Vietnam-Amatriciana was good, but I couldn't really taste the lap xuong and I wish the Asian flavors were a bit stronger. The grand finale, the five spice carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and ginger gelato. The cake was moist, the frosting smooth and luscious, and the gelato was creamy and gingery. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The servings were modest and prices were on the high end. They were also quite busy when we visited, so service was a bit slow, but overall we really enjoyed the meal. We especially appreciated servers noting an allergy at our table and making adjustments as needed.

Yelp
The food was divine - unique with Asian fusion from many countries. My favorite was the spaghetti. The service was quick, they checked on us frequently. The restaurant itself is stunning with its decor, and comfortable both inside and outside. They brought me out a carrot cake slice for my birthday and the buttercream frosting may be the best I have ever had. The tiramisu was delicious and rich. Parking is manageable on the street. Definitely book a reservation before coming. I would recommend each plate pictured below - we shared it all and had left overs! I would love to come back the next time I am in town.

Yelp
One of the places I wanted to try. It is located in Chinatown next to Fete. The restaurant was fairly small for the indoor seatings but they also have an outdoor seatings which is more spacious and looks like it's reserved for big groups. Hokkaido milk rolls: The milk rolls were fluffy and soft. The black garlic butter was rich and pack with flavor. It was delicious with the bread. Foie Gras torchon: This was like an elevated version of Vietnamese pate. The bread initially came out very burnt. We requested for another bread that was not burnt. They remade it for us and it was better. This dish was rich and the spread was smooth and thick. The caramelized onions give it a sweet flavor. It was an interesting appetizer. Gnocchi Mapolonese: Absolutely love this dish. One of the best unique pasta I've tried. The gnocchi was pillowy and not at all grainy. It soaked the sauce which gives it flavor. The sauce was similar to Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew) but more fragrant. The whipped tofu is just a dollop on top which was pretty little. The braised beef was nice and tender. Mushroom Donburi: This was also a very good dish. There were different variety of mushrooms cooked with a crispy texture. This dish was crunchy and pretty interesting. The rice was good with some garlicky flavor. Overall, the dinner was good. The only issue I had was that it does tend to get a little hot in there. Since it's an open doors restaurant, there's no air con so it was pretty humid. I was sweating at the end of the meal. The water was also lukewarm which doesn't help to cool us down. Service was good. Our server was friendly.

Yelp
This has to be the best Italian restaurant in Honolulu. Food was amazing good , services was even better , everyone here is very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and food. Great atmosphere too.

Yelp
I made a reservation through open table and was just planning on having a few cocktails. I asked to be sat at the bar because I was alone and just wanted to enjoy a few of their signature cocktails. I lucked out to be served by a skillful mixologist named Dave, he informed me he only works here once a week. Since I was first to be served in the restaurant I felt special and had his full attention. He informed me that the scallops are delicious and they definitely lived up to his recommendation. I feel like the cocktails are among some of the best I have experienced in Chinatown. I can't wait to come back to try more one day. I highly recommend what I ordered. The decor inside is beautiful and fresh. I would recommend this place for a date or special occasion. I tried their take on an old fashioned and a tequila sour. So good!

Yelp
Decent food! Excellent service! Inside seating and patio dining available. Think if this place and imagine an Italian bistro. As for the food, here are my thoughts. 1. Any pasta is a good pick and OK 2. think about the scallop crudo (i LOVE scallops but there was something not right about what we got) and be sure to ask about when it was prepared... 3) got to have that pocket bread (One order enough for 3-4) 4) got to have the milk bread (you'll need 2 orders for 3-4) Not sure if / and how much their corkage fee may be. Their wine list is limited to imported stuff so if you are domestic person, be sure to check on the corkage before you go and byob Go later; like after 6 pm for street parking. If not the have a couple municipal parking spots in close proximity

Yelp
This place is super yummy! We went for an impromptu Wednesday night dinner, no reservations and sat at the bar. We had the donuts and prosciutto appetizer and that was the BEST jin doi donut ever!!! The prosciutto was super high quality paired with the cheese and stuffed in the crispy light sesame donut pockets with the pickles in high quality olive oil. I'll be fantasizing about that bite for a while! The pasta with lup cheong was also tasty. Very al dente. A little spicy. It was good but I would want to try a different pasta next time. The carrot cake dessert was ok. No mouthgasm but still good! Lots of ginger, I wished the icing slapped my taste buds harder. Drink menu selection is extensive. I was DD so I didn't drink anything besides a taste of what hubby ordered. Service is awesome!

Yelp
Giovedi is the perfect place for a fancy date night or special occasion. Drawing from local, American, Italian, and Vietnamese influences, Giovedi encompasses a phenomenal, elevated fusion of cultures. *Fois Gras ($34): delicious and creamy with the perfect blend of sweet-salty umami onions and crispy sourdough. This is a MUST TRY. *Scallop Crudo ($23): scallops were fresh, lovely paired with the crispy onions, pistachios, and orange zest, making for a satisfying bite. This is a MUST TRY. *Mushroom Risotto ($29): it's unassuming on the menu but this was our favorite entree of the night. I absolutely loved the crispy forbidden rice on top of the fluffy Japanese rice and grilled mixed mushrooms. Grilled Kampachi ($38): was slightly undercooked with a bit of pink but otherwise the crispy skin was delicious and I liked the curry sauce with loads of green onion and dill. Dan Mien Vietnam-Atriciana ($30): an interesting blend of Vietnamese Italian fusion. Pretty fish sauce forward, I liked it. Peacock Tail ($16) & Magic Window ($17): it was good, but nothing all too special. The food ultimately overshadowed the cocktails. Hokkaido Milk Rolls ($11): unfortunately, these famous rolls were not up to par--not fluffy and on the drier side. The black garlic butter was good though. My only complaint was that the service was a little slow--we were eating at a relatively slow pace but we ended up waiting 15 minutes for a waitress to get our order and another 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. This is a MUST TRY.

Yelp
I've been sitting on my hands for this review and going back and forth if I should post one or not, but I've decided that I would like to continue to be honest about my assessments so here goes. I went to dinner with the family and I was so excited because of all the accolades they have received thus far. Now, I don't know if it's because it got overhyped and my expectations were just that much higher, but I was severely disappointed in the meal. I got the crab pasta and it was way too bland for my liking. My husband agreed. Even the kids who usually like blander dishes weren't into it at all. I tried really hard to like it but I just couldn't. Sure, it has a whisper of a crab taste but I think it was a huge missed opportunity and it could have been so much more. The Hokkaido milk rolls were good, probably the best out of everything we ate, but for $11 for 4 small pieces, it's hardly worth it. Had the gnocchi mabolognese (beef cheek ragú) and it was okay but nothing I haven't had before. We also had a couple of their cocktails and they were well-made. But again, they're missing that something that makes it truly special. I guess overall, it was an okay meal, nothing tasted bad or off, bit for the prices and the hype, it's not somewhere we're looking to go back to.

Yelp
Had a reservation for Saturday night with a group of friends and it was so yummy! Service was a bit slow, the only table they had for us was outside so it was super hot, and the fans outside weren't working, but most of the food was great. We really enjoyed the hokkaido milk bread with garlic butter (got three orders for the table), the onion dip, and the tiramisu. We also ordered the capellini, gnocchi, and mushroom donburi, which didn't really blow us away and the portions were pretty small. However, I still recommend you check this place out!

Yelp
This place seems to be blowing up all over the Honolulu food scene, so my partner and I decided to give it a try. Located near Fete on Hotel street, Giovedi is a fancy-ish Asian fusion restaurant that's been around for a while seemingly under the radar. We made quick reservations online. We ordered the onion dip, Dan Mien Vietnam-Atriciana, and Mushroom Donburi. The onion dip was tasty, set in a goblet surrounded by extra-large, crispy, but not too thick shrimp chips. This was a tasty appetizer and the chip to dip ratio was spot on. The dip was well balanced, without any one flavor overpowering another. The Dan Mien Vietnam-Atriciana was a bit weird. Flat Asian noodles but in an Italian style sauce with lap xuong (lap cheong for some of you) was a mix of flavors I still don't know if I like or not. Good flavor, but a bit conflicting for my taste. The Mushroom Donburi was where this place shines. A variety of sautéed mushrooms, with crispy wild Italian black rice, over Japanese white rice, covered with freshly grated cheese, and pine nuts, it's totally worth ordering. The textures, flavors, and richness made this dish a winner. The meaty flavor of the mushroom will win over even the diehard carnivores with this seemingly vegetarian dish. We also got the Magic Window featuring local rum and citrus and Sun Chong Splash, a mix of vodka, lychee, Calpico and lemon. Both delightful. The restaurant does not appear to have air conditioning but does have fans for indoor seating along with a shared semi outdoor in the lobby space behind the restaurant, fete, and the Daley. Staff are polite, efficient, and refilled our waters constantly. Which was great. Parking in Chinatown can be questionable, but ample street parking exists with both private and municipal lots with varying prices per hour.

Yelp
So brought Joe K here for his birthday dinner. We both haven't been here before so was looking forward to it. A list of things we got... Cocktails '84 Pontiac Strawgroni Magic Window Dayvan Cowboy All the drinks were tasty but I think of all of them the Strawgroni was the most interesting. A nice blend of sweet and floral from the gin and a nice bitter from the Campari. On paper it sounded like it would pull too sweet but it was perfectly balanced. What we got for food Hokkaido Milk Rolls Foie Gras Torchon Gnocchi Mabolognese Washugyu NY Strip Dessert was a piece of their Five-spiced Carrot Cake. All the food was solid. A standout were the milk rolls and the foie gras. The milk rolls were so pillowy soft and spread with that black truffle butter, uhhh yeah! I think the foie gras was a standout as well. That quenelle of caramelized onion on top with that fatty foie gras was incredible. And the charred sourdough toast was perfect for it. For the steak, I think it was really good as well but not sure I'd order it again because of the price ($73.) is probably opt for 2 other dishes instead. The one thing I think that sounded better on paper was the five spiced carrot cake. Flavor was spot on but the texture was very dense. That along with the frosting between the two layers of cake was too solid, like how chilled butter would be. Would absolutely come back, chinatown has a ton of great eats and this is definitely one worth repeating visits.

Yelp
The foods here have unique flavors. The dishes have some Vietnamese flavors inspiration. I do enjoy the mushroom donburi and the gnocchi. Both have interesting taste and textures. A great place for a casual celebration. Parking in Chinatown is difficult.

Yelp
Giovedi has been making waves on social media and local food publications, so it's been high on my list for wanting to try. I finally did and it surpassed expectations. It's an Italian / Asian fusion concept in Chinatown, sharing a building courtyard and restrooms with other favorites (Daley, Pizza Mamo, Fete). On arrival I got to meet one of the owners Bao and a bartender friend who introduced us. The cocktail menu is special and came highly recommended if you're into those. We were here for dinner and mostly let it up to the server's recommendations, plus dishes I had heard about. We had the salad, which was a great portion of fresh mixed greens, shaved cheese, and crunchy pieces; the dressing was so light and flavorful. For our mains we shared the prosciutto, which was thinly sliced with cheese, served with puffed sesame donuts and a spicy pickle relish to make mini sandwiches. The pickles have my mouth watering thinking about them as I write. The other dish was the pasta with Dungeness Crab; again richer and more filling than it looked, the sauce did not mask the flavor of the crab. Atypical for me, we also shared a piece of the layered carrot cake a la mode. Not overly sweet, it was a great treat to finish. Our server was excellent, as was the other staff. Other diners seemed to be enjoying everything as well. Prices are reasonable, on the high side for the quality. The interior is one of the classic Chinatown exposed brick walls, with high ceilings, and cozy focused lighting on the tables. The liquor collection is along the right wall behind the bar. They also have outdoor seating in the courtyard. Parking is street or one of the nearby Chinatown garages. If you're a foodie looking for a unique experience, this one is highly recommended.

Yelp
It's in downtown so you need to either park in one of the structures and pay or find a street parking Very nice ambience, the vibe was really nice. They have an outdoor area where they can accommodate larger groups of people. The service was awesome. My waiter was very friendly and was able to answer all our questions. The owner also came and visited us and shared their playlist. Food was delicious. I really like the scallop carpaccio. I would come here again

Yelp
Giovedì has officially become one of our favorite restaurants on the island. My wife and I visited recently and were blown away by the entire experience--from the warm, attentive service to the stunning ambiance and absolutely incredible food. We started with the Nairagi Crudo, a beautifully balanced dish with Calabrian chili crisp, Castelvetrano olives, and mint. Every bite was bright, clean, and full of flavor. The Foie Gras Torchon followed, paired perfectly with caramelized onion, vino cotto, and olive oil toast--rich, silky, and truly memorable. For our mains, the Gnocchi Mabolognese was a standout. The beef cheek ragù with doubanjiang and whipped tofu created a deep, flavorful twist on a classic, and the gnocchi themselves were pillowy perfection. We also enjoyed the Grilled Kampachi, expertly cooked and beautifully complemented by vadouvan, beurre blanc, and dill--delicate, savory, and absolutely delicious. We paired our meal with Erbaluce, which matched wonderfully with the variety of dishes, adding a crisp, refreshing brightness that elevated each course. To finish, the Five-Spice Carrot Cake with cream cheese frosting and ginger gelato was comforting, elevated, and the perfect finale to a flawless meal. Everything about Giovedì shines. Exceptional dishes, a unique Italian-Asian flair, and an atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Dinner in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii... After mass one Saturday, I asked my church friends if they wanted to dine together... sure! I told them that I had never been to Giovedi... they hadn't either... so, we went for a foodie adventure! We found free street parking. Loading zones are free after a certain time... like 6pm? We didn't have a reservation, so the staff scrambled around and let us sit at the bar, right in front of the meat slicing machine. We watched the chef carefully cut the prosciutto. Of course, we had to order it with Vietnamese Sesame Donuts. To eat, split the donut open, stuff it with prosciutto and top with pickled vegetables... delicious! One of the ladies likes shiso and ordered a pasta dish with shiso... she really liked it! I ordered the Grilled Kampachi... it had a fancy, rich butter sauce (vadouvan with buerre blanc). The skin of the fish was crisp and remarkable! The kampachi was fresh and moist! This was a wonderful meal in a rather hipster environment. It's cool when older, historical buildings are renovated! It had a cozy, noisy ambiance!

Yelp
A really good vibe and a great bar scene. Amazing bartender who made me his signature old-fashioned. The food was delicious, creative in combinations of flavors and textures. Our party really enjoyed the food, but we were disappointed that there was not coffee offered at the end of the meal. The service was good, waiter was a bit ambitious and lingered longer than necessary!

Price: $100 per person. $$$. Good portion to share. 4 stars. Ambiance: interesting space. The front area with a few tables and bar settings does not have A/c. The patio or main dining hall is spacious, with other office doors and stairway. It transports you from Metropolitan to the back alley of Asia. Wooden table with nice dinning sets give a feeling of upscale farm dining. They do have a/c in the main dining hall. 4 stars. Location: Chinatown. Apparently, private car is not allowed to drive on Hotel street (only city bus allowed!) Parking is a bit difficult. 3 stars. Meals: pan-asian and Italian fusion. There are some interesting choices. My family enjoyed the dinner so much that they will plan a birthday party for auntie here! 4+ stars. Service: the server is very pleasant and sweet. It was pretty busy that the owner, Jennifer Akiyoshi is helping with orders. There is no place to wait while awaitng to be seated though. Since walking patrons are seated at the bar, everyone just hanging around the front door! They also will not seat you early. If you are late, your reservation will be given away! For service 4 stars. Checking process 3 stars. What we ordered: - scallop carpaccio ($23): very yummy. Scallop is very fresh and smooth texture, melted in your mouth, topped with pistachios, orange, fried shallots... and we tasted fish sauce. It's reminiscence of vietnamese dish, bánh beo with scallops instead of gelatinous rice cake. - foie gras torchon ($34): foi gras with olive toast and balsamic reduction. It is another favorite of the meal. - green salad ($19): if you must have your greens, this is it. Butter lettuce, endives and jicama mixed with light sherry vinaigrette, large enough for 2-3 persons. - Dan mien Vietnam- atriciana ($30): egg noodle, lap xuong, pickled peppers, fish sauce and topped with pecorino Romano cheese. If you can take spicy, this it not for you. - spaghetti AOP ($26): simple but tasty with garlic, olive oil and peppercorn. - mushroom Donburi ($29): this is our favorite dish. White rice, fried black rice, saute mushroom and pecorino Romano cheese. Somehow, they are all mixed and exploded in your mouth! - grilled kampachi ($38): well cooked fish with tender meat and crispy skin, served with vadouvan which is a french inspired curry sauce, beurre blanc and dill. It's a well executed dish but needs a punch in flavor. - Deserts: we tried both tiramisu and five spice carrot cake. Tiramisu is my auntie's favorite desert. She has tried tiramisu around Oahu and she likes Mrs. Tran's. The five spice carrot cake is interesting take on Chinese/Vietnamese mooncake. Thick dough likes mooncake, five spice, cranberry, pine nuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, cheese frosting between layers of the cake and served with ginger gelato. We can't decide to like and dislike the dish! Final verdict: my cousin and auntie like this place and will come back. It is definitely worth to check it out. For the rest of us, it is an experience but not a destination.

Yelp
A Memorable Night at Giovedì - A Fusion Feast Worth Celebrating We visited Giovedì for a special occasion--a 21st birthday celebration--and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. With a reservation at 7:30 PM for our party of five, we were warmly welcomed into an intimate, stylish space that bridges Italian charm with Asian inspiration. The restaurant itself is cozy and chic, nestled within rustic Chinatown buildings, with an airy patio that seamlessly connects the indoor ambiance to the surrounding character of the neighborhood. Cocktails That Deserve Their Own Spotlight We kicked off the evening with several rounds of cocktails--3 to 4, to be exact--and each one was better than the last. Among our favorites: * Sports Mode Espresso Martini: Rich, smooth, and energizing without being too sweet. A refined twist on a classic. * Lychee Vodka Cocktail: Bright, floral, and incredibly refreshing. * Tequila Sour Peacock: This one stole the show--bold, citrusy, with a beautiful presentation that matched its vibrant flavor. These cocktails paired perfectly with the family-style sharing experience we were aiming for. Appetizers That Set the Bar High The starters at Giovedì showed their creativity and bold fusion: * Hokkaido Milk Rolls with Black Garlic Butter: Warm, soft, and decadently flavorful. A comforting way to ease into the meal. * Foie Gras Torchon: My personal favorite--smooth, rich, and complemented by caramelized onions and olive oil toast. Though one friend found it a bit unconventional served cold, it was still a standout. * Prosciutto San Daniele with Vietnamese Sesame Donuts: This dish brought fun and flavor. We loved the interactivity--cutting open the airy donuts and stuffing them with prosciutto, Parmigiano, and pickled toppings made for a playful, delicious bite. Pasta That Proves Fusion Can Be Flawless Each pasta dish brought something unique to the table: * Dan Mien Vietnam-atriciana: The crowd favorite--beautifully balanced between sweet and savory with a depth of umami that lingered long after each bite. * Capellini Granchio: A rich, elegant dish. The Dungeness crab was lush and buttery, while the preserved lemon and kani miso added brightness and umami, and the crispy breadcrumbs added just the right crunch. * Gnocchi Mabolognese: Comfort food elevated. Pillow-soft gnocchi in a velvety beef cheek ragu--it melted in the mouth. Entrees That Kept Impressing * Kona Kampachi: A standout dish with a complex curry-forward sauce that was both aromatic and addictive. This was another table favorite. * Char Siu Pork: Perfectly cooked, tender, and finished with sweet plums that added a delicious contrast. A wonderful harmony of sweet, salty, and savory. Sweet Endings & Sippable Surprises Dessert was classic and inventive all at once: * Tiramisu: You can't go wrong, and they certainly didn't. Light, creamy, and satisfying. * Limoncello Coffee Cocktail: Served in an adorable teacup, this was an unexpected highlight. Bright, zesty lemoncello met the depth of coffee in a surprising but delicious pairing--perfect for sipping post-meal. Final Thoughts Giovedì delivered a vibrant, flavorful, and beautifully thought-out meal from start to finish. The blend of Italian and Asian influences isn't just a gimmick--it's executed with real finesse and creativity. The atmosphere was cozy and ideal for a celebration, and the service kept pace with our lively, food-loving group. We left full, happy, and already planning our return. There's still so much on the menu we're eager to try. If you're looking for a spot that's equal parts elevated and fun, with flavors that surprise and satisfy--Giovedì is a must.

Yelp
Giovedi has some of the most creative food we have had in Hawaii. The chef's background really shows. He is originally from Vietnam, learned Italian cooking in New York, worked at an Italian restaurant in Hawaii, and then opened his own place. That blend of influences comes through in a thoughtful and unique way. The space is very small inside, so reservations are a must. Definitely do not try to walk in unless you are lucky. The onion dip five ways with shrimp chips was a standout. I loved the different textures and layers of flavor. Fun, savory, and very well executed. The scallop carpaccio was a miss for me. The orange on it was extremely sour, almost like a Sour Patch candy, and completely overpowered the dish. The scallops were also an odd temperature, not cold and not warm, just kind of room temperature. The egg noodle dish with Chinese sausage was delicious and very creative. Easily one of the best dishes we ordered and something I would happily get again. Taking off a star for a few things. The carrot cake was way too dense, although the ginger ice cream paired with it was excellent and creative. We also asked for chili oil and the server brought it out and charged three dollars without telling us there would be a charge. That should have been communicated upfront instead of showing up on the bill. Overall, Giovedi is a really interesting and inventive restaurant, but with enough misses to land at four stars.

Yelp
We really wanted to love this place. It's in a nice location. Easy drop off and pick up. The food was good. The onion dip was good but nothing special but with the caviar add-on it became magical. The green salad is humbly named but really the best dish of the night. Lots of fresh greens going on there including endive and watercress. And the salad was not overdressed and soggy. It was perfect. The pasta dishes were both very good though the crab pasta was the better of the two we ordered. The a/c was not working inside so we were relieved when they said they could seat us outside in the very charming courtyard. Lovely. The staff is super helpful and fun. However, and this is likely more about mgmt's need to hire more help but the service was incredibly slow. We sat with nothing to eat or even nibble on for over 45 minutes. But for the a/c problem and the incredibly long delay in receiving any food, I would have given them a 5-star rating. The good news is both issues can easily be remedied. And once they are we will come back for sure.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful evening. Upon arrival, I noticed the limited indoor seating, but we were seated in the open-air courtyard that connects with several other restaurants. It actually worked out well, though I could see weather being a factor on a different night. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive, with the kind of hospitality you'd expect from a more upscale restaurant. I also noticed several other groups celebrating special occasions, which says a lot about the atmosphere. The menu had a few highly recommended items, which we happily tried. Everything was delicious, though nothing necessarily stood out as a must-order-again dish. The pastas were flavorful and well prepared, and my personal favorite was the Capellini Granchio, their pasta infused with Dungeness crab. It had a great balance of flavor and texture. Overall, Giovedi is a great choice for a special night out in Downtown Honolulu, especially if you're looking for good food, warm service, and a celebratory vibe.

Yelp
Excellent service, our favorite was the wagyu so tender like biting into marrow. The tempura style veggies and the Hokkaido rolls were good. The mushroom dish was topped with a cool crispy rice like ingredient. The lobster was good but the spaghetti under it was cooked perfectly but had an unusual smell and was not spicy. Menu really not geared for kiddies. Only buttered pasta. Wish they offered gelato at least but Only 2 desserts on menu. We didn't care much for the carrot cake. The tiramisu was better. The kiddies left hungry as menu is geared for adults. There were 3 females servicing our table, the main server, one that brought the food and one that cleared the plates. When it started to rain they had an awning that moved over our heads. The server was on it and came around to wipe the drops off our table and replace the paper napkins.

Yelp
I was able to get seated as a walk in on a Wednesday night. This is located right next to fete and there's paid parking about a block away. I got the grilled kanpachi which was cooked perfectly and the milk rolls. The milk rolls came with a savory truffle butter which was unique and delicious.

Yelp
Giovedi serves an interesting and delightful mix of Italian and Asian cuisine. The menu is diverse so we decided to order a variety of dishes. Everything sounded good so we wanted to try as much as we could. We're so glad we did since all the dishes were delicious! Starting with the Scallop Carpaccio. Interestingly flattened and topped with pistachios, oranges, and a light butter sauce. What an mix that worked to perfection. Next was the Prosciutto San Danielle. What got my attention was the Vietnamese Sesamo Donuts. Light rolls that paired nicely with the prosciutto and pickled vegetables. Our first entree was the Char Siu Pork. We were told it was one of their more popular dishes. It was good but not as special as the other dishes. It tasted like char siu ribs and pork from a good Chinese restaurant. For our starch, we ordered the Mushroom Donburi. This was delicious; a nice mixture of rice, pesto, pine nuts and cheese. I wasn't sure how all this would taste together but it was really good! Our final dish was the Grilled Kampachi, which was cooked to perfection and served on a tasty sauce and topped with fresh dill. Giovedi is located in Chinatown and is a cozy restaurant with a nice outdoor seating area. Its comfortable and not too noisy that you can't have a nice conversation. I would recommend it for a nice night out. I'll be returning myself to try some of the other uniquely, deliciously prepared dishes!

Yelp
Came here on a date night and was really excited! We heard about Giovedi on Instagram reels. ***What we ordered ~ **Non-alcoholic spritz (10/10) ~ I think it was called the skyliner spritz? I wasn't entirely sure, but it was VERY good. Super refreshing and sweet. A great option for those who don't drink alcohol. **Scallop carpaccio (6/10) ~ I wasn't a huge fan of this. The scallop is very thin and the deep fried banana leaves/onions on top was a bit overwhelming. This dish kind of reminds me of banh beo! **Butter Rolls with Butter (10/10) ~ I was a little hesitant to get this because I was like, it's just bread and butter. WRONG. The bread was so creamy, milky, and fluffy! The butter was also SUPER delicious. It goes so well with the rolls! You should defs get this if you are coming. **Ragu Gnocchi (10/10) ~ This is by far one of the best Ragu Gnocchi I've ever had. I normally don't like Ragu and gnocchi, but this was delicious. The Ragu has a small kick to it and the gnocchi was nice and soft!! This is a must get. **Veal milanese (8/10) ~ The Veal Milanese was light and delicious. I personally like light dishes like this, so I thought it really good! Although the breading was a little soggy and the spare rib thing on the bone that's deep fried was dry. But not bad overall. **Tiramisu (8/10) ~ Soft, delicious, and a little sweet. This Tiramisu was rum heavy (which I wasn't a fan of because you can taste the alcohol). But good! If you pair this with a nice cup of coffee it would go so well together. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back! The customer service is great, food came out fast, and it's a vibe!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and drinks. The garlic pasta was insanely good. The staff was very friendly. Not only that but this place was recommended by multiple other bartenders, restaurant owners, and servers on our trip so you know its good. I would love to go back next time I am there. It would be great for date night and is very intimate.

Yelp
I dined at the Bar on Sunday evening and enjoyed chatting with the other diners. Dave is a great bartender! The NA Skyliner Spritz was amazing. I really enjoyed the Onion Dip and Prosciutto San Daniele appetizers and made them my dinner. Parking in Chinatown can be difficult, so I took a Lyft. They won 2025 Best New Restaurant from Honolulu Magazine & they deserve it!

Yelp
Wow, where do I begin? Food, ambiance, service all 10/10. This Italian Asian fusion restaurant is located in Downtown Honolulu. If you're from here you know packing in this area is rough. If you're lucky you can find a meter parking but if not there's a few paid lots in the surrounding blocks. We made a reservation on Open Table for 5:45 pm and were seated immediately. To start, we got the Hokkaido milk rolls and onion dip plus the prosciutto San Daniele per the suggestion of our server. The milk rolls were soft and the garlic butter was the perfect complement. The onion dip was served cold with shrimp chips which was yummy. And we were so glad we ordered the prosciutto because it was the star of the appetizers. You stuff the bread with the prosciutto along with the pickles & it made for the perfect bite. The brine of the pickles cut through the fat of the meat and was excellent. As for the mains, we ordered the dan mien Vietnam-atriciana, capellini granchio, gnocchi mabolognese and char siu pork. Everything was excellent but my favorite had to be the gnocchi. The beef cheek ragu literally melted in your mouth. I would come back just for that dish alone. We ended with the tiramisu and that was the perfect cherry on top to a delicious meal. With a bottle of wine plus tip, everything came out to around $350 and was enough to feed our group of 4 comfortably. Definitely a splurge but well worth it for a date night or dinner with friends.

Yelp
Excellent service! Greeted as soon as we walked in & bright to our table. Once seated we had the sweetest and kindest waitress. She was attentive and very focused on serving all her tables. Ambiance was hip and modern vibe with nice comfortable lighting. The food was sooooo delish and flavors were robust. We started with the capellina grancio which was creamy, crunchy and tasty, the grilled kampachi was cooked to perfection and flavors & the fresh dill was so yummy! Next, the mushroom donburi had perfect texture of crunchy, mushroom umami, Wow these dishes did not disappoint! The chef was spot on with his sauces and fresh ingredients ! Will be back very soon!

Yelp
Getting better all the time! This unique gem in Chinatown is an incredibly creative Asian-Italian fusion with an incredible staff and warm atmosphere. Do ask about the specials because they are just that Special! This time we dined alfresco in the courtyard out back which was delightful. The delicious food is complimented with creative mixology of mock and cocktails. Must try, unique!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised on how great the food, service and atmosphere was. From the moment we walked in, everyone was very inviting. We had reservations at 5:30 pm and were seated promptly in the left back corner. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. We started off with some cocktails. If you like Calpico, like my boyfriend then the Sun Chong Spritz cocktail is for you!! Slight sweetness and a very refreshing taste. If you like a little sweeter cocktail with a fruity flavor, then the Chromakey dreamcoat is the cocktail for you. Then, we began our appetizer portion and that's we were blown away by the flavors!!! We had the Nairagi Crudo, Scallop Carpaccio, Prosciutto San Daniele. As each appetizer came out we were so surprised with the flavors and couldn't wait for the next dish to come out. Everything was nice and light and wasn't overpowered by the other flavors in each dish. Next came our entrees, we had the Capellini Granchio, Char Siu pork and an order of the Hokkaido bread which we used to mop up all the saucy goodness from both dishes. We really enjoyed the pasta dish, and had commented on the type of pasta that was used. We both agreed if a different pasta was used it would make the dish really heavy, but the use of angel hair pasta was perfect!!! The showstopper for us was the Char Siu pork. It was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by red wine plums. Make sure if you have this dish, eat each piece of pork with a slice of plum then take a piece of soft Hokkaido bread to mop up the sauce. Lastly, we finished our feast with the Five-spice carrot cake which was pretty tasty. But we enjoyed the ginger gelato more than the cake itself. It had a very light taste, that helped to cleanse the palate. We really enjoyed Glovedi and will definitely be back to try the other dishes!!!

Yelp
If I could give 3.5 that would be my true rating. First of all, service is great. Server was attentive and went out of his way to get me some hot water. What was amazing is the appetizers. We got the scallops and the prosciutto with a donut puff. The scallops were fresh and the brown butter bites made it taste amazing. The pastas were not good. I'd say the gnocchi mapo was be very tasty and the gnocchi was so soft. However, they gave two tiny pieces of meat. So disappointing and the size was not enough for one serving, more like an appetizer. The server described the crab pasta full with crab but it had absolutely crumbs and 2 tiny pieces. The crab pasta did not taste like crab. It was a butter lemon pasta for $37. Sooo much lemon and butter it was too rich. The table next to us got it first and I thought, I hope it's not the crab pasta cause it didn't look like it. They also did not finish it. It's too buttery. The price for the pastas were not worth it. So disappointed. It's sad that the appetizers were better than the entrees and had more protein. Not sure if I am coming back, but if I do, I will not order the pasta.

Yelp
I've been probably 15 times in the past year, a mix of bar, dinner, private event, special guest, and walk-in visits. The food, service, and ambience are to die for! Favorite dishes: The prosciutto, Jin dui, and giardinera (tip: pop those bad boys, stuff' & swallow) Kampachi (all day) The Mapo Gnocchi IS LIFE AFFIRMING. (I just finished a week of cooking and eating Sichuan, and this was the perfect capstone to that. Whipped tofu YES and a beautiful portion of pillowy gnocchi under a blanket of mapo sauce MMM! All the staff and bar team are phenomenal. Shoutout Michael, Dave, Jen, and Chef Bao. Love it here and will be back again. (Tomorrow?)

Yelp
Wow I must really like this place because I went twice in one week! Sunday night : Perfect pretheater venue with great drinks and food! We were able to walk in and sit at the bar which allowed us to see the food being beautifully plated and the prosciutto being sliced. You can also sit at high or low tops for 2 or in the courtyard in back. I got the Sun Chong Spritz because it was highlighted on the menu. It was pretty good but I preferred my friend 's 84 Pontiac Dream. Our other friend got a glass of wine. We all shared a plate of Prosciutto San Daniele which was just the right appetizer for us. Our savvy server suggested we add on another Vietnamese sesame donut since there were 3 of us and only 2 donuts per order. They were kinda like gindui but not sticky or oily. You cut open the top and put in the thinly sliced prosciutto and giardiniera to make a delightful little sandwich. Friday night : Since I enjoyed the vibe and wanted to try more of the food I returned a few days later. We were lucky to get a table without reservations. DRINK : Many of the cocktails intrigued me but I decided to go with the SETEC Astronomy "a curious boozy fusion" root beer drink even though our server described it as "interesting". It was unique in a good way. Mixed with all the other flavors, the root beer wasn't so recognizable. Loved the very thinly sliced lemon peel garnish and the beautiful glass it was serve in. FOOD; *** The Green Salad was a beautiful mixture of of butter lettuce, romaine, endives and some watercress, topped with thinly sliced hearts of palm, parmigiano reggiano, and crumbled croutons (so you get the flavor of toast without the rough texture of huge croutons which can sometimes cut your palate) it was dressed with just the right amount of vinegrette which allowed the natural sweetness of the lettuce to shine through. Chef's kiss! Simple but excellent. This may have been one of the best green salads I've had! ***The Gnocchi mabolognese was also a winner with its soft pillowy flour (not potato) pasta, tender Wagyu beef cheek ragu with a dollop of whipped tofu, perfect for lactose intolerants. A wonderful combination of flavors and textures. The Scallop Crudo appetizer consisted of very thin slices of scallops topped with brown butter crumbles, crispy leeks and bits of fresh orange that brightened it. I liked the flavors of the condiments but if you are hungry I recommend getting something more substantial. Grazie to our knowledgeable and attentive server Jordan and Giovedi for another lovely evening on Hotel St.

Yelp
Went here to celebrate my bf's promotion - and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. The dinner rolls, the apps, and my pasta were delicious. Was also really impressed with the wine list. Highly recommend!

Yelp
First time trying this place on Sunday night. What we really enjoyed was as follows: PROSCIUTTO SAN DANIELE vietnamese sesamo donuts, giardiniera pickles ONION DIP onion five ways, warm shrimp chips We would pass SCALLOP CRUDO, due to hokkaido scallop wasn't prepared as we expected and we felt too much toppings.

Yelp
Judging from the photos posted on Yelp! and watching the service from the kitchen I am pretty sure every table orders the milk rolls. And I am definite that they are universally beloved. Soft and a little sweet and salty...warm...perfect with black garlic butter. Sure to be ordered time and again. Certainly by me. Just as amazing was the foie gras. A lovely and balanced presentation of flavors and the charred bread texture added more than I expected. The gnocchi and wagyu steak were also hits. Less was the carrot cake...flavor good...the candied ginger elevated it. But texture off for me. No big deal...I have a different dessert next go round. FYI - I loved the cocktails I ordered- strawberry Negroni and old fashioned riff. My partner ordered 2 different cocktails that were less successful...

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. Once you're inside the restaurant you'll forget you're on hotel street. The outdoor seating is nice and doesn't feel crowded. Service is friendly and efficient The food was a little underwhelming. The hit of the evening was the scallops Crudo. It was so good we ordered seconds. I'd recommend it for a nice date where you can have a conversation, a drink and pupus. Not a place for the hungry. The fusion is imaginative but the taste was mediocre.

Yelp
Ever had Vietnamese donuts with your prosciutto? Giovedì in Chinatown is flipping the script on Italian cuisine--with bold Asian flavors in every bite. From Gnocchi Mabolognese (yes, that's doubanjiang in the beef cheek ragù) to natural wines and patio vibes, this spot is a must for anyone who loves fusion done right. Located in the heart of Honolulu's historic Chinatown, Giovedì is redefining date night and foodie adventures, one handmade dish at a time. The food is awesome, the Vibe and atmosphere is chill and hip... Our server was very nice add attentive. However the only negatives are our drinks took forever... we arrived early so we sat at the bar and ordered a Mocktail and a beer... it took over 10-15 for the beer... and it was in a bottle not even draft... then when the rest of our party arrived, we ordered drinks and it took forever, where we thought they forgot... but I think it was whoever was working the bar or they could of been short staffed cause it wasn't that busy.. and secondly , the food portions are a little on the smaller side for the price, but all in all, we had a great time! And that what you go out for. So I'll let you be the judge when you go and let me know how you liked it.

Yelp
Our server Tony was down-to-earth and knowledgeable! He also gave us rosé for our anniversary! EVERY dish was delectable. We ordered salted Hokkaido milk rolls, which I enjoyed with the black garlic butter. I also could not stop eating the onion dip with the shrimp chips (I wish they offered more of the dip and chips!). We also tried the dan mien Vietnam-Articiana, which was my favorite of the pastas we tried (the other being the capellini granchio, which had a nice crunch to it, but I just love red sauces more). We finished with the char siu pork, which my partner enjoyed. I can't wait to return to try other items!!!

Yelp
Go now to Giovedi! Oh man... so glad we chose to go here, it was a fantastic meal. We were seated at the bar, closest to the kitchen so we got to see the dishes come out and get finished off by the Chef. The Hokkaido milk rolls with black garlic was soooo good. The color of the butter is a little off putting because of the black garlic but one bite and you will forget about the color! I also loved the mushroom rice. It had cripsy rice bits on top, which made the texture really good. The clam pasta is good but very seafoody tasting due to the XO sauce. It was a little too much for me but my boyfriend really loved it. We parked in the underground municipal lot, which isn't far away and rates are reasonable.
