We were really looking forward to celebrating our anniversary at HaSalon, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Despite noting the occasion in our reservation, there was no acknowledgment from the staff.
The food was decent, but the service was disappointing. We were seated at the bar, where the staff seemed more focused on chatting amongst themselves than taking care of the guests. When we asked about the dishes (as part of the Chef's dinner with a set menu), our server often couldn't explain what was being served.
Worse still, dishes were brought out while we were still eating the previous course—rushed and without care, as if they were trying to move us along quickly.
It's also important to mention that the restaurant doesn't accommodate any dietary preferences. I'm vegetarian, yet I was served the same meat dishes as everyone else, without any substitution or alternative—and still charged the full price.
Given the high cost (we paid about 900 nis), the experience simply didn’t justify the expense. Sadly, we won’t be returning, and we wouldn’t recommend HaSalon to friends or family.
