This is my office’s second year in a row using Off The Bone to cater our thanksgiving lunch. They do not disappoint! Food and service are top tier. We love the variety of options. I appreciate that their catering menu indicates which items are gluten free, which was something we were looking for. The ordering process itself was straightforward and easy. Overall, there were no issues and our staff thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Happy to recommend and use them again in the future! Also, I love supporting a good Black owned business! (Photos taken on 11/13/24 during catering pickup) If you’re interested in ordering with them for thanksgiving, place those orders by 11/23! You won’t be disappointed.

I stopped into Off the Bone Barbeque today just South of Downtown Dallas for lunch. I have stopped here one time before but did not try the pork ribs. After posting reviews online recently of other BBQ restaurants in the area there were several recommendations for the ribs so I decided to try them. I remembered from my last visit that the place was very clean and tidy and has an exceptional look with the stark white and black building. It is a contrast to the surrounding old and new buildings of many colors as well as consistent construction in the growing area. Ordering is at a small counter with a menu overhead. Portioning takes place behind the counter out of view where they are quickly making in restaurant as well as take out orders. My plan was to try the ribs, I looked through photos to see what I had tried last time and saw that it was sliced brisket, sausage and peach cobbler. My memory was that each item was good enough to try again so I decided to try the brisket and sausage and skip the carbs for the meal. Baby back pork ribs: with this cut it is simple- meat and a bone with each rib. There are no tendons to pick through and the meat can be consistent from end to end. The two that I tried were soft enough to pull from the bone easily but also allowed a first bite in the middle without removing all of the meat from the bone. They were cooked well from end to end with all of the fat rendered enough and all of the meat moist enough to eat without having dry areas. They were sauced lightly after portioning and prior to serving so sauce was not needed when eating. Sliced brisket: I asked for a portion of lean and a portion of moist. It looked like they separated the flat from the point prior to smoking or warming so all of the slices I had were similar with plenty of bark and an obvious 1/4" fat cap that was rendered well. The smoke ring was tough to find near the bark so the smoke flavor was limited mostly to the bark vs throughout each slice. The lean toward the middle of the brisket was moist enough to pull apart where the slices toward the edge were dry and would require sauce if I tried more than a small bite. The moist was better than the lean mostly due to it not being partly dry. Sausage: Smooth and consistent with great flavor similar to a pre packaged smoked sausage found in a grocery store. No sauce needed. Bread: This is complimentary and looked lke it would be good with its sweet butter glaze, I opted to not eat it to save myself from a carb coma after having a pancake with breakfast. I saved the remaining pieces for leftovers and know that there is a place on the South side of downtown with a good pork rib option that is in an area that is seeing many improvements. #offthebonebarbecue #texasbbq #smokedbrisket #smokedporkribs #smokedsausage #bigred #dallasbbq

Google
Nothing personal but I normally don't have much to say that's good about Dallas. Thankfully this place is an exception to my normal opinion. Got the three meat plate was what I think is usually the popular ribs, brisket and pulled pork and it was all pretty good. Have a lot of sides to choose from and there's a decent setup four seating. Definitely wouldn't mind trying it again! Maybe next time I'll get a picture of the food LOL and hopefully I'll leave room for the freshly-made desserts as next time!

Google
Omg!!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!! I got brisket and the sausage and it has to be some of the best in town! Price was great for all we got as well. The potato salad was absolutely fantastic. And the okra. *chef's kiss* just delicious! Definitely some great homemade sides if I had to guess. 10/10 will go back again!

Hadn’t had bbq in awhile so decided to try Off the Bone on the weekend for dinner. I requested all the sauce on the side just fyi. Ok, I’ll start by saying it all was hot and fresh. The baked potato is a loaded potato and you add your meat. It was enough for me to eat twice. If you like a lot of meat, pay the extra to add. It was just right for me. The sliders were good for my daughter who doesn’t eat heavy. Although, the fries were extremely salty. She didn’t eat them. The peach cobbler had the canned or peaches with the jellied stuff from preserves I don’t care for. Without ice cream or whipped cream I’d pass. Overall, I’d recommend but try a couple different options.

Google
Pretty good food. The ribs were literally falling off the bones. Pull pork and briskets were both tender. The Mac and cheese was moist and cheesy and the fried okras werw crispy. We decided to try the boudin balls. It's a mix of meat and rice full of flavors, maybe a tad salty. The loaded fries taste better with meat added, so don't skip on that. Overall good food, friendly service and nice dining space.

Google
Good price, great brisket and sausage. My ribs were a bit on the cold side but flavor-wise were good. Service is good and prices also very good $20ish for 3 meat platter with 2 sides.

I ordered the loaded baked potatoe with brisket and it was delicious!!! Ms.Mae, our server who brought out the food was wonderful.

Yelp
1st off...they close early - 4p - Monday-Wednesday ... 7p - Thursday-Saturday. So, that said, plan appropriately. This place is NOT on my normal traffic pattern. When I go here, I want to go here. This was my 1st visit back since pre-COVID...so, its been a while. For starters, RIBS...yes, pork is a blank canvas with absolutely no flavor in the natural state. This establishment hits it in flavor with the right seasonings and right amount of smoke and time. A very, very good bite. Second...they are one of a few places left that smoke chicken on the bone. I ordered my 2-meal plate with a 1/4 chicken-white. Really good chicken. Nice mild smoke. Good seasoning and still moist. Sides are sides...they can make or break the experience. The green beans w/ potatoes and the BBQ baked beans were both very, very good and flavorful. So...if you're nearby and want a nice BBQ experience, pull in and check this place out.

Yelp
Was going to a place nearby for lunch recently, and when I got there I didn't like what I saw. So I pulled up Yelp to see what was close. Fortunately I was about two blocks from Off The Bone. Plenty of parking, nice looking spot, friendly staff. I asked the cashier what she recommended, and she said brisket and pulled pork. This surprised me, because ever since I moved from Louisiana to Texas, I haven't found a single place that did pork right... and Texas BBQ spots certainly don't typically promote their pork. I ordered sliced brisket, pulled pork, queso mac and cheese and green beans. Took my seat and waited just a couple of minutes before my food was brought to the table. Working my way through the plate, here's what I found: Pulled pork: Spectacular. Tender, seasoned, exactly how I cook it at home. Mac and cheese: It's made with queso, which offers a little kick. I had low expectations at first, but it's one of the best versions I've ever had at a bbq place. Green beans: Perfect. Cooked down, fresh, meaty flavor. Not mushy but firm. Brisket: First bite was amazing. The bark had a great flavor, and the meat was relatively tender. Unfortunately here's where OTB earned four stars and not five. The rest of my brisket was dry. All the bark had a decent flavor, but the brisket fell apart on my fork and crumbled in my mouth. Extremely dry and disappointing. For the rest of my brisket I just ate the bark. That said, I will definitely be back. Overall the meal was way above average and these guys have earned their high ratings. I enthusiastically recommend that you check it out.

Yelp
So I had the 3 meats and 2 sides. The Ribs: Tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection The Brisket: Juicy, and seasoned nicely The jalapeno cheddar sausage packed with flavor & heat. The mac & cheese & fried okra were good too. The TVs were great for watching sports and a friendly atmosphere & very Affordable for the quality & quantity of food. The only downside was the Lack of Smoky Flavor: While the ribs and brisket were delicious, they could have benefited from a stronger smoky flavor. Overall, Off the Bone BBQ seems like a good spot for satisfying your barbecue cravings. The ribs, brisket, and sausage are all good, and the atmosphere is inviting. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a good meal and catch a game, this might be the place for you.

Yelp
Almost everything was great... minus the cornbread. I'm used to a buttery cornbread. This one was not so much. The food came to the table quick. We ordered the family meal. The mac+cheese and the greens were FIRE! Needed more of the sides. The meats (brisket, chicken, ribs, and sausage) were delicious. Besides a cowboys helmet on a counter, the restaurant had a great vibe. The rolls were slamming too

Yelp
Off the Bone Barbeque is a family owned barbecue joint in downtown Dallas that serves up barbecue ribs, smoked brisket, and all your favorites in a non-descript location. What was most surprising about my trip, however, wasn't the ribs or smoked meats. I discovered the Chocolate Chip Pecan cookie. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food) Atmosphere - You'll find Off the Bone Barbecue south of downtown Dallas. Plenty of seating on my Thursday 12:30 PM visit. I didn't find the long lines at other DFW BBQ joints, nor did I find the same charm. But it clean and seating was not a problem. 1/2 Star. Service - The staff was very friendly. We placed our order at the counter, and later a server brought out our food. They were fast, efficient, friendly, and always smiling. 1 Star. Food - I ordered a two-meat plate with brisket and ribs. It was good but not great. The bark on the brisket had plenty of flavor and was tender on the fatty side, but I had to dip the rest in the excellent, tangy barbecue sauce. True to the name of the restaurant, the meat fell off the bone of my ribs. They were short - like St. Louis style ribs. Tender and when dipped in the sauce, my bite was superb. But both meats lacked a heavy smoke flavor that I've grown accustomed to and expect. To finish my meal, I had a Chocolate Chip Pecan cookie. Wow. This was not only the best item I ate at Off the Bone Barbecue, but the moist cookie with generous amounts of chocolate and pecan was one of the best cookies I've ever had anywhere. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - No. While there are better barbecue options in DFW, the Chocolate Chip Pecan cookie was fantastic. However, I'd rather return because of my meal, not my dessert. No Stars.

Yelp
Back to heavenly roots. A week of seafood in Cali to the best BBQ in Texas! I remember when I first brought my sister here in 2020. We loved the fried corn and today we decided we would drive 45 min for lunch. Sooo glad we did. The corn is soooo dang good. But that's not all that's good. The ribs, as the name says fall of the bone and is seasoned perfectly. Not overly smoky with the right amount of flavor and tenderness. I just luv em'. Their ribs have just the right amount of fat to make them moist and tasty. I'm not a BBQ sauce guy but I really like Off the Bones. The potato salad, made in house is tart, sweet and so tangy. Again a must try. Their greens beans are freshly cooked and prepared and soooo good. I love the chunks of potatoes cooked in with them. Finally, the queso Mac n cheese is Devine. The colored greens were seasoned and so good. The right amount of pork and fat back warming my taste buds. Rarely, can you find such great food prepared with love and that warms your soul. Glad we ordered enough to dinner tonight or left overs tomorrow. The folks here are friendly and service is top notch!

Yelp
Quick and delicious ribs. The meat comes right off the bone - sorry could not resist. Friendly service and good variety of sides. A nice little spot for a quick fix of ribs or BBQ.

Yelp
Saturday lunch. Located in a converted gas station south of downtown Dallas in a rather empty area, Off the Bone is overall worth the drive. It's ashamed the place wasn't fuller. The brisket was very moist though filled with far more fat than I would have liked. I had to cut away several chunks. Our sides of green beans, spicy fries, fried okra, and Cole slaw were good. My sandwich bun was glistening and great. The sauce is mild and sweet. We also got the peach cobbler, which was good, even if the peaches were straight from the can. We also enjoyed talking with the owners. They have much to be proud of. Parking is plentiful. If you're stuck in traffic on I-30, take a break here. Off the Bone is ripe to become a franchise.

Yelp
Food was delicious we have never had macaroni and cheese like that meat was tender place was clean we really enjoyed ourselves there next time we are in Dallas we will stop by

Greg N.

Yelp
Great service and fast! I will be returning to get some amazing food! Plenty of options to choice from and fresh!

Yelp
After getting in a bit of sightseeing around Dallas, I had to deal with my appetite. While in Dallas, I had to get some barbecue. Off the Bone Barbeque was one of the restaurants nearby where I was, so I tried it out. The brisket was so tender that all I had to do was look at it, and it fell apart. That may be an exaggeration, but that was some tender brisket. The baked beans hit the spot. And the cornbread muffin that came with it was a bonus. I had a slice of peach pie for carryout and it needed a scoop of vanilla ice cream to go with it. I'd have to try a few other items from their menu the next time I am in Dallas. My friends seemingly couldn't recommend any good barbecue restaurants. Well, I can, and Off the Bone Barbeque is on the list.

Kimari C.

Yelp
I heard of this place and a couple people that are from dallas said that it was GOOD, so I had to try for myself! I came around 1pm for a chopped beef sandwich for lunch and the parking lot was packed out, so I knew it had to be a hit, it wasn't that busy when I walked in though surprisingly. A few people were sitting with their lunch date or group, I ordered to go and it was really quick. It's actually a beautiful sandwich from the bread to the meat to the sauce. (I'm glad there was extra someone forgot at the bar I decided to smash it immediately and had no regrets! Highly recommend!

Pete X.

Yelp
2meat plate The chicken was a major letdown: temperature was on the cool side, flavor was not there, I ate half and threw the rest away. The brisket was pretty good. So were the greens and potato salad. Everything was just pretty good. Wouldn't mind coming back and leaving the chicken off my order.

Tim S.

Yelp
Simply fire. F what you heard this place is fire. There sides makes them difference that the others. The bbq is fire so it comes down to southern style sides or UK sides lol u do the math

Steve S.

Yelp
We dined here tonight, and loved the place: Service was friendly and solid, great people. Vibe was industrial modern, nice cool space on a hot day. Food wad very good: Brisket moist and tender, with more large fat chunks than a reasonable amount and an unusual smoky coffee flavor on the rub Ribs delicious, perfectly executed Sauce excellent- thin, vinegary, and delish Three meat beans were a disappointment- mostly all juice in the small cup, and very few beans or meats, like a broth with a few incidental beans and meat chunks Green beans nicely seasoned and cooked Slaw was unique, with a touch of blue cheese and bacon One of our fave BBQ joints in the city now, recommended.

Brandon L.

Yelp
Pretty good bbq place on the south side of downtown. Don't be fooled by the "Southside" part. They've cleaned up this area pretty well. This isn't your over the top bbq place, but it's a mom and pop place. It's a real small place. You don't watch them cut up your meat like normal places, you just order from the front counter and go sit down, and they will bring it out to you. I will say, for the price of the bbq, it's pretty dang cheap. It doesn't look like inflation has had them raise prices, and if they did, then it was really cheap. What I got would have been $60 at your traditional places. But I was under $48 for a 2 meat and 3 meat plate. Prices are really good here. Food is good. I will say, I'm not sure if their bbq sauce wasn't store bought, because it definitely tasted very familiar to a store bought one. Other than that, good place to eat.

A.C. W.

Yelp
I've been watching this bbq restaurant for several years on youtube. Finally I had a chance to stop by yesterday. I'm very picky about my food. Being from Alabana I like my bbq a certain way. I love season food and not blan. I ordered the one meat plate with collard greens and potato salad. it was worth the wait. This is the only place I will go to to for bbq when I'm here. I meet the owners. a husband and wife team and there nephew who is the Pitmaste. he did a fantastic job on the ribs. Customer service made me felt like I was talking to my mom. the place is super clean and great ambianc. they even have a meeting room. Bathroom was super clean. this was perfect southern bbq with great southern hospitalit.

Jessica G.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered to go the "Off the Bone Family Meal" for the 2 of us. Mac n cheese and potato salad for our sides. Let me tell you...bomb.com! Absolutely delicious! I had to snap the whole reveal! Kudos

Wendy C.

Yelp
The brisket was delicious! Wings were delightful and so is their Mac and Cheese. Highly recommended checking out this small business in Dallas. They also have parking options which makes it convenient.

D B.

Yelp
Today, 7/17/24 I ordered a baked potato it was Cold, sloppy and inedible. The potato was drowning in bar b que sauce at least 2 cups or more. I called to make a complaint was told "this is how they make there potatoes" I have had potato from this location and NEVER had I experience this Whoever is back there in the kitchen needs to be taking orders and not preparing orders So F****** disappointed

Michael M.

Yelp
Great BBQ. We looked at different yelp reviews around the area and this was most convenient. I loved the pulled pork sandwich combo. My husband had the brisket sandwich which had great flavor, but a bit dry. The service was great and it's a good place to either grab and go or have a quick lunch.

Noah W.

Yelp
Food was amazing, highly recommend pulled pork sandwich. Speedy service, amazing music, definitely coming back soon! :)

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Lunch here today with my work group. Ordered the one meat meal and received pulled pork, macaroni and coleslaw. The macaroni and coleslaw were too die for, very unique with blue cheese and bacon in the slaw and the Mac NCheese they called Queso something or other. Fairly priced and arrived as soon as we sat down.

Greg B.

Yelp
Excellent BBQ and not outrageously overpriced. I particularly like the brisket, pulled pork, pork spare ribs and pulled pork. The beans are also quite tasty.

Daphne T.

Yelp
I'm a self professed fat girl and I normally eat all of the food on my plate even when it's not necessarily good. I pay for it and don't like trashing it BUT....I ordered wings and fried okra from Off the Bone, ended up picking over the items and ultimately trashing. The dry rub was good and that's it. Meat of the wings was hard and difficult to pull "off the bone" Too many pieces of the okra was hard and "splintery" (my best explanation). I can't rate service because I ordered and paid online.

Kenya P.

Yelp
I catered the family meal for Mother's Day. We had a slab of ribs, a pound of brisket, pulled pork, beef sausage, and a whole chicken. And the sides were the spicy, honey beans, potato salad and Mac n cheese. The ribs fell off the bone and were very savory but most importantly not salty. The brisket was absolute perfection. The pulled pork was a little salty but not too salty to consume. The beef sausage was mouth watering delicious! I don't normally like the sausage but I believe this one is made in house because it has a unique taste that could not be produced in a factory. The chicken was very tasty but a little dry. As for the sides the Mac n cheese has tomatoes and I believe chives, and it was also a little spicy. Personally I have never had Mac n cheese with anything other than cheese so not a favorite. The potato salad was very tasty but also a little spicy. The honey and spice beans were delicious but not spicy. Oh I forgot about the rolls, the rolls are wheat with savory butter and delicious! Wait there's more, for dessert we had the triple pecan chocolate cake, do yourself a favor and pick two of these up, they are amazing. The pound cake was moist and delicious. I did not get a chance to try the peach cobbler because my Mother devoured it so it must have been delicious as well. Now why did I only give it four stars, well, the staff wasn't very friendly, not rude but in my opinion when you walk into a restaurant you should be greeted and when you leave you should be acknowledged with a thank you come again or something to that affect. I will definitely be back and have recommended them to many but I hope this review helps their staff improve on their customer skills.

dino

Yelp
everything was so yummy and the food is delicious and homemade. definitely recommend going here. staff are kind and helpful. best barbeque ever

Devan DLeg L.

Yelp
The cleanest place you will ever see, with a fast turn around order service. The brisket sandwich was ok (meat was tender), not much to rave about & the spicy fries are not what I expected. Overall 6.5

AJ B.

Yelp
All the popular BBQ places in Dallas. This one never seems to get mentioned; this place is so good. All of there smoked meats- Chicken, Links, and Brisket were very flavorful. You can taste love in every bite. The con queso mac n cheese hits different; like omg its super good. I'm coming back for sure.

Brianna X.

Yelp
The sandwich is bomb. My go to bbq around the uptown/downtown area. Kids and hubs love it.

Corey F.

Yelp
The brisket was delicious! The pecan pie however, was disappointing. If you're not going to make it in house, at least buy it from someone who specializes in deserts, not off the Kroger desert Isle.

Jessica R.

Yelp
I tried this place while visiting Dallas for the weekend. I placed my order online and the food was ready pretty quickly. I ordered a loaded baked potato with brisket to share, and a 2 meat combo with Mac and cheese and fried okra (also to share). The portion sizes were really big. My husband and I couldn't make it through all of the food. The Mac wasn't good, but everything else was. The fried okra was by far my favorite! Fried okra of hard to get right, and it's something I really love. This place does it right and is possibly the best I've had! Definitely would return!

Dhe 3.

Yelp
Best bq in Dallas. Great food. My go to bq for special occasions. Service is efficient and friendly.

Triple B.

Yelp
This place is NOT a Barbeque or Smoked meat restaurant. The 1st time I ordered from the Off The Bone Barbeque restaurant I ordered 1lb of sliced brisket not overwhelmed, but not disappointed. I gave this restaurant another chance because the boast a PIT MASTER for goodness sakes. I ordered a whole smoked chicken, Con Queso Mac N Cheese (I should have known this was a MAJOR MISTAKE) and Southern Potato Salad. This was the absolutely worst bbq I and my family have ever had. The Chicken was either boiled or baked and then heavily seasoned with Smokeyspice flavors. I called the restaurant and spoke with the "Pit-Master" (I use this term loosely) to ask if the meats are ever placed on a grill or in a smoker. This chicken was TERRIBLE there was NO CHAR of any parts of the chicken and the skin was rubbery. The sides menu is labeled Southern Sides. No mom, grandmother or auntie north of the southern BOARDER has EVER put Con Queso in Mac N Cheese and it was DISGUSTING. The only thing I ordered that was OK was the Southern Potato Salad. My husband even tried to save the chicken and our money by placing the chicken on our our grill with charcoal there was no saving this nasty food. I will NEVER EVER patronize Off the Bone BBQ again.

Randy k.

Yelp
Came on a Friday at lunch. I was surprised to see that it wasn't crowed at all. Had the pulled pork sammy with candied bacon with potato salad side. Sammy was delicious. The bun was soft, pulled pork juicy and super smokey and the candied bacon added a nice touch. Didn't need the bbq sauce, but It was very good as well Potato salad was AMAZING! Great flavor, silky texture as well. Spicy pickles on the side were a great touch as well. Will need to come back and try ribs!

Demitrios F.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended from a co-worker that was here a couple months ago. We each got the combo with ribs and brisket. She had mac n cheese and fried okra as her sides while I had okra and green beans. For dessert we had peach cobbler. Everything tasted really good, the Mac n cheese was made with a rue which is not my wife's thing, but otherwise was tasty to her. The baby back ribs were the best I'd ever had. Brisket although tasty, was dry. The employees were nice, well groomed and professional. The venue was quiet and clean. We are going back again today!

T R.

Yelp
First time visiting and our last time in Dallas for a while and I am glad we found this little gem. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend.

LaTasha T.

Yelp
Business is family oriented. I always have a pleasant experience every time I visit. They have been consistent with portions and taste every single time.

Marcilla D.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! The food is absolutely delicious! My husband and I travel 2 1/2 hours away to handle some business, so I googled somewhere you could get some good barbecue. And this place was worth it. I'll absolutely recommend this place to any and everyone you must try lawd have mercy finger, licking good !!!! No

Sydney S.

Yelp
My church decided to bless a few black owned businesses in the area and Off the Bone was one of them. The owner was really kind and the staff got the food out quickly. I got a chopped beef bbq sandwich and chips. My team got a pulled pork sandwich, brisket tacos, Mac and cheese, and beans. We also had peach cobbler, fried okra, and cornbread muffins. We all cleaned our plates and was looking forward to coming back! The portion sizes are generous and the flavor hits. My secret to knowing GOOD bbq is to eat some with out sauce and if it still good - it's a winner. I ate quite a few bites without anything extra so that should say something! The inside is spacious and they have patio seating too! I think it's going to be fun to come eat when it's warmer and sit outside. Everyone was super kind and accommodating to not just us, but everyone that came in afterwards.

Logan Y.

Yelp
Great BBQ! Super helpful and friendly staff! Whenever we want great BBQ we go to Off the Bone! The owner is always walking around checking on the customers. I would highly recommend going to this place.

Nathan W.

Yelp
I didn't eat at this location, I ate at the one downtown across the street from the Dallas police headquarters. It was really good. I'm a BBQ connoisseur, so I don't do mediocre BBQ. They are worth the visit if you're in the area or just in the mood for good BBQ.

Gigi D.

Yelp
My family ate here last Saturday 4/13. There were 8 of us, we ordered the Party Pack that feeds 8-10 people. The food was amazing, the staff was great. We left with to-go boxes as there was so much food. So Delicious! I highly recommend this place if you are near the Southside area. If you are not near that area, it's worth the trip to go.

Chris B.

Yelp
While visiting Dallas I wanted to try some Texas BBQ. Well more than one person pointed me in the direction of Off the Bone Barbecue. My family and I entered a clean parking lot in the industrial part of town and we were greeted with good customer service once we entered the BBQ establishment. We all got 2 or 3 meat BBQ plates that did not take long to get at our table. They have self serve sweet and unsweetened tea as well as a Pepsi product fountain machine. I got dark meat chicken and brisket. Both are delicious with just the right amount of smoke mixed with seasonings. The bbq beans weren't too sweet and let me know they were not fresh out of a can. The Macaroni and Cheese was different since it seemed to have bell peppers in it I believe, but it was tasty. I'm not a bbq sauce fan but I did notice that the bbq sauce at this restaurant was a vinegar base and it was just right, not too sweet or spicy. The fried okra was superb and seasoned to perfection. To top it off the owner even stepped out of his office to make sure we enjoyed our food. I plan to visit this spot again and again. If you're in Dallas and want bbq you should do the same.

Jacob W.

Yelp
Ordered one of the combinations. Everything was perfect! Brisket was super tender and all the sides were to die for. Food was ready in a flash, establishment was clean, and workers were friendly. Would highly recommend! Only drawback is the distance. Wish there was one more north... like say Lewisville maybe

Yelp
I ordered the 3 meat 2 sides plus an extra side. My order was ribs, chicken and sausage with southern potato salad, Charo beans and an extra side of green beans to be delivered by Door Dash. I only received the ribs and they were still cold from being in the refrigerator. I did not receive the chicken, sausage or green beans. The ribs has no taste or flavor without the BBQ sauce the roll also was not fresh and was cold from refrigeration. NEVER AGAIN will I order or use this restaurant!

Yelp
Had a marvelous lunch here yesterday. The ribs were amazing. The potato salad was so yummy and some of the best baked beans I ever had.

Yelp
Take my review with a grain of salt because I no longer eat beef or pork. I know, I know, I know...then why am I going to a barbecue restaurant? Well I still like BBQ'd/smoked poultry/fish and sides so when in Texas eat something smoked, right? Now that that's settled, since I've been to other big BBQ spots in Dallas, I wanted to try this place. I was pleasantly surprised that not all the sides included meat. So I opted for the 1 meat with 2 sides meal and got the chicken, green beans and potato salad which comes with a roll. The chicken was ok. Not terrible but not great. I was excited that it appeared to be seasoned well but, for me, it didn't taste as good as it looked. I reached for the bbq sauce and that didn't help much either. Honestly I'm not a sauce person but if I do use it, I prefer for it to be thicker. I will say the sides were the stars. It's probably the first bbq place I visited where the sides tasted better than the meat. Potato salad was on point (just missing an unnecessary/necessary sprinkle of paprika) and the green beans had all the flavor I was seeking. Just also wish the roll was white and not wheat. Wheat is my thing but when eating bbq, you might as well go full on unhealthy. Tastes better. They seemed to have a nice flow of customers, all ordering ribs and brisket presumably. So if that's your thing, and I'm assuming it probably is, check them out.
