"I came across a 100 percent vegan sushi-and-entrees concept partially opened on the westside by Colorado chef Mindy Lim, operating in a 1,190-square-foot space inside the Whole Foods Marketplace near the Tenaya Way intersection. The food is plant-based Asian-fusion fast food—sushi, vegan entrees, pressed juices, and smoothies—with menu items ranging from miso soup and stuffed jalapeño peppers to tempura-fired king oyster mushrooms that stand in for calamari. Sushi choices include pickled vegetables, spicy tofu, avocado, roasted yellow bell pepper nigiri, and roe “pockets” made from carrot juice and algae, while entrees feature tempura-fried gluten chunks prepared as sesame chicken and a tonkatsu made from panko-fried tofu skin. This is a must try in Vegas. Best sushi I've had, probably ever. Everything was so delicious that I did not have room for dessert (and that never happens to me!) The service was also great. Very friendly and accommodating. The gluton free menu is impressive and so is the fact that this entire place is vegan!!! Hard to pick a favorite, but I think for me, it was the monster balls made from eggplant. Yum!

Visiting town for work and found this place randomly. I’m normally an avid meat and fish eater, but I’m also adventurous and was wanting something more healthy. I chose wisely! The Ramen was tasty and the garlic with black rice nigiri was great! Decent prices. I did not leave hungry.

Let me tell You about Daikon Vegan Sushi & more. Our Server (Tree B) was great and made some wonderful Recommendations. The food was served promptly and was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere was great. This Sushi is it. Literally the best Sushi I’ve Ever had. My partner and I came here while in Las Vegas for both business and leisure, and Daikon Vegan Sushi completely blew us away. 🌱✨ We came in curious and left wishing there was a Daikon in every city. This place does something rare — capturing all the flavors of the sea without using a single piece of seafood. The sushi rolls are beautifully plated, full of flavor, and topped with plant-based “tuna” and “salmon” that look and taste incredible. 🍣 Their mission is clear the moment you see the mural on the wall: “Save the Sea, Eat Vegan Sushi.” And the food delivers on that promise. Nothing but absolute love for this place. I had an order issues when I first tried to order (the door dash service they contract for delivery stole my food) and they were INCREDIBLY nice about it and refunded it immediately. I placed the exact same order the next day and it arrived safely, the driver noting they remembered my order and had told her the story of the night before ... How nice! The food was incredible. Truly I would eat this weekly if I was local. I have no notes. The textures were spot on. The flavors were unique. The food was creative, fresh and delicious. Truly no notes. Albacore (diakon) is an absolute must try.

My husband and I are staying on the strip for two nights, and we stopped by here for lunch on the first day. It was so good, we decided to come back on the second day, despite the 20 minute (one way) drive from our hotel. It was absolutely worth it both times. We didn’t have the patience to take pictures before we demolished our food, but I promise it’s gorgeous and DELICIOUS. We tried 4 rolls, 2 types of nigiri, an appetizer, and 2 types of dessert over the course of our two meals and literally every single thing was DELICIOUS. No misses!! The highlights: the rainbow roll, squid nigiri, and the molten lava cake (the last one might be less universal, but molten lava cake was always my favorite dessert growing up and something I’ve only seen vegan a couple of times). AND the service is exceptional! The person I assume is the owner is very very friendly and comped us tapioca pudding at our second meal (which was super delicious). Sushi was always one of my favorite foods and was hard for me to give up when I went vegan, so I’ve explored a fair amount of vegan sushi. This was better than Shizen in SF, Beyond Sushi in NYC, or Planta in NYC + Chicago (the two locations I’ve tried). Run don’t walk to try this one!!

Seriously, when I want to experience joy and feel warmly welcomed to a delicious meal, I turn to Daikon Vegan Sushi. I have been a number of times since 2023 and every visit is so wonderful! Last night I ordered takeout. The decision is always tough but I settled on a familiar item, dragon roll and a new item, kale tostada. I added a coconut tapioca pudding as well. The ingredients are so gracefully composed and their freshness is on point. How the mango on the dragon roll can woo me every time with its perfect sweetness is a true mystery. The kale tostada goes on my list of favorites. The tapioca pudding brought me back to my grandmother's table, too. Run, don't walk, to Daikon Sushi. The people make you feel so great!!

Best sushi i have eaten in a long long time. Since i became vegetarian I have been craving good sushi. This sushi is amazing. It doesn't try to be like regular fish sushi by imitating fish but rather create unique tastes with great fresh ingredients like mushrooms and jackfruit. Even if i were to still eat fish sushi, I'd go to this restaurant because of their delicious dishes. I have ordered yesterday and ordered again today because of how great it was. Highly recommended.

I've been to daikon multiple times since they first opened. Recently they expanded the restaurant, and there is so much space to dine in!! Plus an outdoor seating area for cool nights. It's beautiful inside!! I love the wall waterfall. We always experience great service here now. In the past, it used to take a while for a to go order even for one roll. But now the service is really great. The employees are always so nice. We usually get lots of food so we have leftovers. My favorites are the spam masubi, teryaki chicken, and the crunchy California roll. It's so hard to find vegan sushi and Asian food, especially ramens and things like spam masubi!!! This place has the most incredible food I've had in Las Vegas. The entire place is vegan, and they use whole plant foods instead of lots of processed foods. My boyfriend and mom(non vegan and vegan) both love this place too. It can be kind of pricey, but the food and experience is so worth it. We usually go here around 5 before the dinner rush and it's one of our favorite date nights!! They have lots of parking too in a strip mall by a Whole Foods. Even if you aren't vegan, this is worth a try. It's so flavorful and delicious!!

This was the perfect after work dinner grab on a Friday. I called ahead to order the Bulgogi Entree + seaweed salad. It was ready within 15 minutes which was the perfect time and distance from where I came from. The seaweed salad was similar to any other at a typical sushi spot. The Bulgogi was delicious and great portion to get me full.

Located in the same shopping center as Whole Foods Grocery! Tried the crunchy roll, spider roll, sesame "chicken" which comes with broccoli and steamed rice, mango smoothie and a hot green tea. Service was prompt. Very quaint inside. This place gets busy. The food was delish, really enjoyed the crunch California roll, and the sesame "chicken". Would return to try more items.

Visiting from Phoenix with my best friend and her husband! Daikon was incredible! The restaurant was very clean. The staff was also super friendly and seemed happy to be there. We loved everything we ordered. They got the bulgogi roll and the spider roll. Our the food was out pretty quickly. I got the musubi, spooky roll and the rainbow roll. The food was beautifully prepared and was just as delicious. Very fresh and flavorful! Will definitely come back!

Omg! Where do I start??? From the service to the food, this place was phenomenal. Every dish was amazing! We ordered the "tuna" and "salmon" nigiri, the black garlic roll, and yellow magic roll. The rolls are iconic! Creative! Delicious! The music was on point. The servers were so sweet and attentive. I would've taken a picture of the chocolate cake, but it was inhaled before I remembered to. The only downfall about eating here is that they don't have another location and now my tastebuds are going to force me into a Las Vegas trip for vegan sushi. Stay away if you don't want this to happen to you. Highly recommend for foodies and vegans who often crave sushi.

We hit the Jackpot when we tried this restaurant for the first time. We were coming here for vegan sushi but ended up having Asian vegan flavors parties-in-the-mouths and culinary conversations with the chef/owner of the restaurant. The owner/chef came from Malaysia and have a few assistants from Indonesia where I came from. But our dinner didn't start by meeting the chef. It started with their miso soup. After I tasted it I knew that we hit the jackpot with this restaurant. I said I bet what are coming next will be awesome. The hub has always said that I have a sophisticated palate. Maybe I should get a job as a food critic. lol After the miso soup, came the tofu larb that was exquisite with Thai flavoring. We asked for extra chillies since we are spicy vegans. lol Discussing with our waiter about this restaurant we decided that this is an Asian vegan restaurant and not really just a vegan sushi restaurant. The Monster Balls Chef Special were tasty also as an appetizer. The 2 rolls of sushi: spider and volcano rolls were very true Japanese flavors and yummy. Chefs know what they are doing. But then came the curry ramen! Waiter warned me that the noodle soup will have Malaysian flavors. Oh yes, it tastes like Laksa which is a popular curry noodle dish in Malaysia and Indonesia. This was the moment when I wanted to meet the chef/owner. The Sesame Chickn and Black Rice is a popular dish customers order. I wanted to try it. I can see why because they were crispy, sweet and sour, gooey, and the accompaniment of sticky black rice and the lightly steamed broccoli were just a perfect combination! It is unfortunate that this restaurant is not close to home. In our conversations with the Chef, a suggestion for her moving to OC was one of them but she said NO because it is too expensive. She is right that is why restaurants are closing near me.

It was my first time trying this vegan restaurant. Upon walking in, the ambiance is clean, simple, and welcoming. I myself am not a vegan, but this place really blew me away. The presentation is flawless. The taste is even better than I have imagined. I always thought vegan food would be boring and bland, but this is the spot for the hype if you are looking for good food and good service. Servers are friendly and are knowledgeable about the menu and have many great recommendations. If you are looking for a healthy meal with good taste, this is the must try place.

I remembered to take pictures this time. This is one of our go to places when we are craving sushi. The service is always amazing and it's always so warm and cozy in the inside. We ordered the spam musibi, spam fried rice, spooky roll, and volcano roll. I recently found out I can't have a lot of soy and gluten and alot of the items on the menu contain these ingredients. Nonetheless the food was still amazing!

As a prominent meat eater, we had a visiting Vegan. So of course we want to find places that are amazing to eat at. With Graze closing permanently.. :( We found Daikon. The presentation of the sushi was amazing. The menu clearly showed what was in the various 'meats'.. "salmon - orange bell pepper", etc.. This was delicious.. Even if you prefer the meat, try this. It's good.

First time trying, I ordered 3 rolls for pick up - black dragon, spider roll, and bulgolgi roll. I love the variety of ingredients and menu choices. I'm usually wary of trying vegan places because I find they just aren't tasty or lack fresh ingredients but this place did not disappoint!

Wow!! It has been over a year since we've last visited this place. When my son and I walked in, we were pleasantly surprised with the changes. The space inside has opened up and actually has a good amount of seating. The service and staff were friendly and polite. We were greeted right as we walked in and seated immediately. Our food portion was more than we imagined. We both had plenty left over for another meal. The food tasted better than we remembered. I ordered the sea bass tomato dish, it was amazing!! It had a nice crunch to it and tasted just like fish. If you haven't had the calamari here...you really need to, it's one of our favorites. We are looking forward to coming back with the whole family. If you want to try a vegan place with good food and atmosphere, this is the spot!

Challenging Las Vegas to always try something different. Yearning for ramens and sushis brought us to Daikon. Oh boy, did we enjoy our delicious ramens and sushis? 100% thunderous yeses! Tomato Ramen had me in euphoria! Amiable, spotless dining room where comfortable space meets breatheable air flow of ventilation. I should mention restroom is also clean, because that is one major important to look at as far as I'm concern for cleanliness. Here's the kicker! Our handsome server Felipe is personable and a wonderful host. He took our orders, dived into pleasant conversations, heartwarming smiles he gave us that make us recurrent clients. We love Brazilians!

Sesame chicken w/ black rice: 10/10 - it was super crispy and had just the right amount of sweetness Spam musubi: 8/10 - we couldn't believe how similar the taste was to spam and the texture was spot on. After a few bites we both agreed it needed ketchup lol Spider roll: 10/10 - hands down our favorite dish we ordered Volcano roll: 7/10 - this was good but too sweet for our liking Thai tea: 5/10 - this was way too sweet for us but if you prefer your Thai tea super sweet then you will like this. We will def come back!

This is one of the best vegan sushi and ramen restaurant in Vegas. Coming from California, I have high expectations for vegan sushi, and Diakon has killed it. From the taste, to the presentation, to the combination of colors, their food is top quality. Their ramen was better than expected as well. Highly recommended!

Daikon is easily sky rocketing to my favorite spot in town. They are affordable, delicious and have really friendly service! Located in the Whole Foods shopping center on Lake Mead, Daikon offering dine in or take out. The have recently expanded their dining room to add addition square footage, additional seating, as well as sushi bar seating. They recently began offering waiter service instead of their initial order at the counter and it is working out wonderfully. All staff members on the floor seem to work together to provide customers with their needs. Ok the foooooooood!! I haven't had anything here that I wouldn't order again. With that said, my current favorites are: -curry ramen -grilled 'pork' rice -spicy tuna pocket -black garlic sushi roll -kale tostada

A new favorite spot when in Vegas. We need more places like this around. I still can't get over the fact that this is a vegan restaurant. The taste and flavor profiles were out of this world. Service was great, quality of food fresh and savory, and we scored on time of day without a wait. The curry ramen was delicious, the sushi was the best I have ever had, in fact if I had to choose between vegan or regular I'd prefer vegan such as this very time. In fact, my sister who's never had sushi in her life is hooked on this place. The all time favorite dish for our party of six was the sesame chicken with rice x 1,000. On day two we ordered three servings of this favorite dish. This is not the gluten free crowd; it's the opposite. The closest relatable comparison I can think of is orange chicken, but this choice will be a home run every time. If you're not into vegan food, give this a try-- the quality and flavor profiles are equal to or better than the hormone, antibiotic and pesticide filled meet we are fed today.

I've been back here over and over again trying new menu items, and everything I try is great! The creme de la creme though is their dynamite pocket appetizer and their specialty rolls. This is the tastiest food with the most delightful atmosphere around! Last time we were there, the server even serenaded us with his ukulele. We've ordered it all...the golden state roll with spicy mayo, black dragon roll, black garlic roll, just to name a few. And, oh my gosh, the yuba roll!!!!! It's all so savory, sweet and spicy, and just so crave-able! I always go out of my way to make a journey there. These people understand flavors, textures, and presentation. I've even brought non-vegans here and they scarf everything down. This place is top notch! Can't wait to go back.

I'm still a newbie vegan - on my third year. But when I'm jonesin for Sushi Daikon hits the spot. Brilliant presentations! Wonderful flavors! They don't come cheap three orders and some tea hit the wallet for $70 plus adding tip. Then again the price for healthier eating and supporting a local community establishment - excellent price for what I received. I will be back!! Delicious!

The worst customer service I have experienced in my life and from the owner of all people. She was unbelievably cruel to the point that my friend cried in the restaurant. My friend is a vegan blogger who travels around the United States and had come to Vegas to try Diakon AFTER BEING ASKED TO COME. Her boyfriend purchased a gift card as a surprise because he knew this was one of the places she was coming to review. The e-gift card would not process even after showing the code, the order number, the email receipt, etc. After an hour of messing around with their machine and receipts and proving payment the owner decides to scream at and cut off my friend not willing to take off the giftcard amount until THEY CAN CALL TOAST who apparently manages their gift cards OFF OF THEIR OWN DIAKON WEBSITE?! How is that the customers problem?!?! PLUS EVEN AFTER SHOWING ALL THIS PROOF OF PURCHASE?! AND THEY WONT ALLOW REFUND?!? We ended up having to demand the gift card amount be manually taken off after a very rude encounter with the owner and since we don't live here we can't use later. I would NEVER recommend this place purely because of how we were treated. I have never experienced customer service this terrible and aggressive. It was a scary situation to be invited to eat somewhere only to get yelled at. -20000/10 stars if I could.

This was some of the best vegan food I've ever had, and that's saying something! Not to mention the kind and attentive staff which made service a 10/10 as well. It's a cute casual little place which was exactly what we wanted after staying on the strip all weekend. We ordered the Karaage, Eel Nigiri, Spider Roll, Cucumber Roll, Crispy Spring Rolls, a Mango Smoothie, and the Fried Banana for dessert. Literally every dish was so delicious! Our favorite was the Karaage but truly everything was amazing. Really wish I lived here so I could eat this food 24/7! Definitely will come back every time I'm in Vegas.

Fresh and friendly! I love coming here as the rolls are always fresh to order. Sure, there's no fish in the rolls, but the flavors can't be beat. And the sauces they use are the boss. If you get the rolls with black rice, it's an added health benefit. I've had several things from their menu including the kale tostada which is tempura fried flowering kale. Topped with chickpea salad, inari, fresh avocado, sesame seeds, sweet soy. These you just can't put down. When coming with friends, you are able to order more and try each one. My favorite is the Yuba Roll with black rice -fried YUBA (tofu skin), avocado, and carrots inside the roll. Topped with "Tuna", avocado, sesame mayo sauce, and sesame seeds. I'm telling you their may sauce is the boss! It is so good. If you're looking for a roll with a kick, you can't go wrong with the Dragon Roll - "Eel" and avocado on top of a roll with jalapeno, cilantro, spicy "Tuna" inside. Topped with sweet soy, sesame seeds, and wasabi mayo. There are many options here and you are sure to leave full and satisfied. Not to mention staff here are very kind and knowledgeable. Any time I'm in the neighborhood, I must stop by to get my fix.

I have got to say this was some of the best food I have had in a long time. Didn't miss the meat at all. As a matter of fact I think no enjoyed it more than a lot of sushi places I've had. The service was amazing John was very knowledgeable and helpful and his recommendations were spot on. I highly recommend this place even if you aren't vegan give it a shot.

Never really had vegan sushi so I was excited to try this spot out! We got a few different rolls but tbh none of them hit hard. They weren't flavorful or tasty. For the price point, I would have expected more. But for presentation, I give them an A+. It looked very nice. The restaurant itself is a small spot. Kind of like a whole in the wall. Service was good good. They were quick and were helpful. Would I recommend to a friend, yes. Would I come back, probably no.

Arguably one of the best vegan spots in town. The flavors and sauces in their sushi rolls are better than any other vegan sushi I've ever had. We have brought non-vegan (carnivorous) people here who had very low expectations for vegan sushi, and THEY were impressed and surprised by how good everything was. The service is always great, and they dining room always feels clean, minimalist, and inviting.

I've been coming to this place for a while now and I must say it is usually consistent with food flavor. Every now and then something might be too salty or not enough salt but pretty good either way. Sometimes the tapioca pudding is not as sweet as I expected and I do like sweet stuff. But overall, the food is pretty good. The service is always good here. And now they expanded their space and the ambiance is awesome! Favorites here for me are the Basil Fried Rice with white rice and Tantanmen Ramen. I am not a big fan of sushi here but that's just my taste buds and preference.

What a great little gem. Good food, excellent and warm service. They're very familiar with gluten allergies/celiac's disease which is great. Our favorites were the yellow magic roll, sunset roll, and spider roll. The coconut pudding was divine as well - so refreshing.

I am not sure closing at 9PM means closing the Kitchen at 8:30. 9PM doesn't mean last customer out ofvthe restaurant at 9pm. Please update your hours accordingly. Refusing to serve at 8:40, saying the kitchen is closed ! Sorry for the bad review because I love your food, but there is no other way to let you know what is going on when you are not here.

I love Daikon Vegan Sushi, I rave about them to all the vegans in my life. Today, my vegan sister and pescatarian cousin are in town and I have been waiting to take them here so they can experience how delicious it is! We ordered the spring rolls, Spider Roll, Hot Girl Roll, Golden State Roll, and the Sunset Roll. I've had most of these rolls before but the Golden State would be my favorite from what we ordered, followed by the Hot Girl Roll. One thing I didn't care for was the spring rolls. They were crispy which I liked but they lacked flavor. My cousin wanted to order Thai tea but I told him it was nasty but the waiter said it was the best in the city - someone lying, and it ain't me. The one thing I didn't appreciate was when someone brought out the spring rolls, he just set it on the table away from all off and just said "here" it was a little off putting. The actual waiter was cool though. Lastly, I really love the remodel and all the space they have now. I remember coming before the remodel and how tiny it was. They deserve all the space and had a customer at every table. I love it and will definitely continue bringing people here.

All are consistently great except the garlic ... roll. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's salty, the last time it tasted little bit old-like it was past the expiration date. I know that beans just don't stay fresh as long as other type of food so it's difficult to work with. I'll try something different next time.
