"A (Handmade) Bird in the Hand Brother-sister duo Andy and Emily Linn opened City Bird, a studio and gallery located in Midtown Detroit, to house their line of handmade Detroit- and Great Lakes–themed housewares, apparel, accessories, and objects. The work of more than 200 other local Detroit designers also packs the shop shelves. When you stop in, be sure to pick up the siblings' printed guide to their city, "Belle Isle to 8 Mile: An Insider's Guide to Detroit," which features more than 700 different attractions, restaurants, and areas of interest throughout the Motor City."
