It’s a no-holds-barred old fashioned good time, complete with a dancing dogs show, an agriculture section packed with chickens, goats and pigs, and a host of fantastic fairground rides. Add to that excitement there is also nightly free live concerts from stars of the world of pop, rock and country, such as Pat Benetar, the Pointer Sisters and Clint Black. My favourite part? The crazy fairground food, from Japanese poutine mini-donuts to maple bacon donut burgers and all kinds of sweet and savoury fried-things-on-sticks. It’s one of the most fun days -and nights –out of the year."
