"From hand-carved wooden doors to rustic ceiling beams, elementsrescued fromdemolishedcolonial-era convents were incorporated into the architecture of this luxury property when it was built in 1946. A designated historic landmark, it reopened in 2015 as a Four Seasons Hotel in the restaurant-filled Zona G, named for its impressive gastronomy offerings. Though some of the city’s best eateries are within walking distance, the hotel prepares hearty fare like baked suckling pig with polenta tortilla at the on-site restaurant and bar. Decor feels similarly comforting: Guest rooms are individually designed, but all have distinctive elements such as hand-carved wooden dressers, leather furniture, and thermoacoustic windows for a cocoon-like experience; upgrade to a suite with a fireplace for extra warmth on Bogotá’s chilly nights, or retreat to the spa, whichpampers with Colombian-inspired treatments like coffee-infused body wraps."
