"Founded by Pasquale “Patsy” Benso in 1977, this old-school Italian-American supper club became a close-knit hub for coaches, friends, and regulars, centered around the famed “Table of Truth” — a small, cracked booth where Patsy and his companions ate nightly home-cooked meals that were different from the buffet offerings, including dishes like baccalà. Patrons revered Patsy’s cooking and hospitality (so much so that people would order whatever the coach was having), he even cooked for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and once accompanied the team to a Super Bowl; after a 2017 lightning-caused fire the owners rebuilt the restaurant and restored the Table of Truth plaque to its original spot." - ByBarry Switzer, as told to Greg Elwell
