"So, tell us a little about this place—what's the first thing that gets your attention? Before you even step into the Spruce Point Inn Resort & Spa, you're taken with the location of the place. This oceanside property just feels iconic, and with its 100-plus-year history, it's nothing short of that. Sounds like a lovely start. Who else is here?Travelers seeking the perfect Maine experience by the sea (and the not-at-all-overboard Americana design). It equally satisfies both the people who want adventures out on the water, and those who just want to get cozy inside. It's the ultimate family vacation destination, with something for everyone. Too good to be true! Now, onto the good stuff: Tell us about your room.My family and I stayed in the Starboard Oceanfront Cottage, a four-bedroom dazzler that overlooked the ocean. Larger than what would usually be considered a cottage, it was chock-full of darling details like a wood floor, large front porch, and cheerful kitchen. So there's a lot of space to move about, which is nice. But if you're not in your digs, what is there to do?There are a ton of kids' activities and camps that can take the little ones off parents' hands for a few hours, and anything you could ever want to do on the water is offered here, including sailing, whale watching, and fishing. There's also a spa on site, for when you've had your fill of physical activity, and you just want to chill. Well, we're probably just going to chill immediately. How about room service, or the food on site in general? There are a few dining options at the hotel, but if you want something on the more formal side, 88 is an oceanfront spot that offers incredible seafood from the area. Perfect. So, anything stand out about other services and features? What do you really want to shout out? There's really just so much to do—there's a pool, and a ton of hiking around the resort. Also, if you're looking for a place to plan a family reunion, this is it. Duly noted! So, bottom line: worth it, and why?Absolutely. There's so much value in your stay. Not only are you surrounded by a beautiful setting, but the resort offers something for everyone." - Corbin Chamberlin
