"The historic Grosvenor House on Park Lane emanates a cocooning atmosphere of well-trained professionalism, where the rare glitch finds rapid remedy. Only some vestiges of its glamorous Jazz Age heyday have remained intact—most visibly the classic entrance colonnade joining two towers housing 494 rooms—while spacious rooms and bathrooms are styled for mainstream appeal: patterned carpets, thick drapes with swags, and English bath salts for the tub. The more formal dining option is Corrigans, but allow time for the truly excellent English tea in the Park Room, overlooking Hyde Park." - Nicholas DeRenzo, CNT Editors
