"Thirty-nine rooms in a row of concrete blocks on a 2,750-acre country estate, 60 miles from downtown São Paulo. Moodily modern. Crisp-white walls and panoramic windows flood every room with light, not to mention dead-on views of the rolling hills and lakes. Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld plays with texture and scale, using acres of brick, bleached wood, and giant slabs of granite and softening angles with tufted headboards and wicker baskets.
