"Set in a grand building with gardens, I loved the Emirati touches throughout the interiors—from camel leather chairs to henna-leaf light fixtures—and the menu, designed by chef Ionel Catau, which reworks traditional Emirati flavors with inventive twists. I recommend sharing mezze boards (muhammara, fish mathrooba) and ordering the showy table-prepared corn-on-corn salad and the must-order chicken machboos: saffron rice studded with dried fruits, shredded crispy kale, cucumber salad and spicy house achar.
